대학 교수자를 위한 교수역량자가진단도구 개발

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학 교수자들의 교수역량을 스스로 평가하고 점검할 수 있는 도구를 개발하기 위해, 문헌연구를 기반으로 예비문항을 개발하고 교수자 136명을 대상으로 예비조사 실시 후 내적 신뢰도 분석과 탐색적 요인분석을 통해 최종문항을 완성하였다. 그리고 284명의 교수자 대상으로 한 본조사를 통해 문항의 신뢰도 및 구인타당도 검증을 실시하였으며, 교수자 배경변인 간의 차이 분석을 하였다. 최종적으로 기본역량(열정적 태도, 다양성 존중, 입체적 사고) 12문항, 강의역량(전문적 교과지식, 강의개발, 강의운영, 상호작용) 18문항으로 구성된 전체 30 문항의 교수역량자가진단도구를 개발하였다. 또한, 교수자의 직급과 재직기간에 따른 교수역량을 살펴본 결과, 조교수와 부교수의 교수역량이 교수보다 더 높고, 신임 교수자가 21년 이상 재직한 교수자보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 개발된 교수역량자가진단도구는 교수자의 교수역량에 대한 세부적 진단을 가능하게 하고, 교수자가 자기인식에 기반하여 강의를 점검하고 개선할 수 있는 기회를 제공한다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to develop tools that can self-evaluate and check the teaching competency of university professors. Based on literature research, preliminary questions were developed and preliminary surveys were conducted on 136 professors, then the final questionnaire was completed through internal reliability analysis and exploratory factor analysis. The survey of 284 professors was conducted, and the reliability and validity of the final questionnaire were verified. In addition, the differences according to professor background variables were analyzed. Finally, self-lecture diagnostic tool was developed with a total of 30 questions, consisting of 12 in basic competency (passionate attitude, respect for diversity, multi-dimensional thinking) and 18 in lecture competency (professional knowledge, lecture development, lecture operation, interaction with students). As a result of examining the teaching competency according to the professors’ potions and length of service, the teaching competency of assistant professors and associate professors was higher than that of professors, and that of professors with 0-3 years of service was higher than that of professors over 21 years. The self-diagnosis tool for teaching competency developed in this study is significant in that it enables detailed diagnosis of the professor’s teaching competency and provides opportunities for professors to respond based on self-awareness to check and improve lectures.
