치유와 용서

국문 초록

중풍 병자의 치유 사건을 소개하는 마르 2,1-12의 본문은 등장인물들 사이에서 벌어지는 논쟁을 포함한다는 점에서 전형적인 치유 사화와 구별되는 특징을 보여준다. 이는 양식-전승 비평적 관점에서 설명될 수 있다. 본문은 서로 다른 두 양식이 혼합된 결과물, 즉 예수님의 치유 사건을 전하는 ‘기적 사화’와 그분의 용서하는 권한을 다루는 ‘논쟁 사화’가 전승 과정에서 하나로 통합된 결과물이라는 것이다. 이러한 역사 비평적 접근의 연구들은 주로 본문의 기원이나 형성 과정, 두 양식의 명확한 구분, 삶의 자리, 편집적 요소등에 관심을 두지만, 전체 본문의 통일성에 대해서는 그렇게 많은 관심을 기울이지 않는것이 사실이다. 본문 속에서 두 개의 다른 양식을 확인할 수 있다 하더라도, 이들은 어쨌거나 하나의 본문을 이루어 일관성 있는 메시지를 독자에게 전달하고 있음이 분명하다. 본 논고는 마르 2,1-12의 본문을 하나의 통일된 이야기로 전제하고, 이야기를 이루는다양한 요소들이 맺는 유기적인 관계와 역동성을 파악하기 위해 ‘설화적 분석’을 시도한다. 무엇보다 ‘해결 구성’(plot of resolution)과 ‘계시 구성’(plot of revelation)에 대한 관찰을 통해 이 이야기가 그리스도론적 계시의 목적을 지향하고 있음을 확인한다. 설화자는중풍 병자의 치유에 관심을 두는 해결 구성의 한가운데 용서의 권한을 주제로 한 계시구성을 교묘하게 삽입하여, ‘치유하시는 분’의 모습과 ‘용서하시는 분’의 모습을 지닌 예수님을 하나의 종합적인 인물-캐릭터로 완성해 나간다. 특히 죄를 용서함이 바로 인간의내면을 어루만지고 치유하는 것임을 고려할 때, ‘땅에서 죄를 용서하는 권한을 가진 사람의 아들’(10절) 예수님은 육체적인 질병뿐 아니라 영혼의 질병까지도 고치시는 분, 즉 인간의 영과 육 모두를 구원하실 수 있는 분으로 드러난다.

영문 초록

“The Healing of a Paralytic” in Mark 2,1-12 shows distinctive characteristic from the traditional healing stories, in terms of including arguments between characters. It can be explained in the viewpoint of form and tradition criticism. This text is the result of the mixture of two different forms. It is the integrated outcome from transmission processes; ‘the historical miracle story’ that report Jesus’ healing incidents and ‘the argument story’ that deals with forgiving authority. Such historical-critical studies mainly focused on the origin or formation process of the text, the clear distinction of those two forms, ‘Sitz im Leben’ and the editorial elements. But it is true that the unity of the whole texts has not been much concerned. Even though, it could be identified two different forms in the text, but anyway, it is clear that it formed into one text and delivered the consistent message to the readers. This study premised the Mk 2,1-12 as to one unified story, and tried ‘Narrative Analysis’ to figure out the systematic relations between various story elements and its dynamics. Above all, through observations on ‘plot of resolution’ and ‘plot of revelation’, confirmed that this story aimed for the revelation of Christology. The narrator inserted cleverly the revelation plot of forgiving authority in the middle of solution plot interested in healing, and completed the comprehensive character of Jesus as to “Healer” and “Forgiver”. Especially, considering forgiving sins is to touch and heal human inner mind, Jesus as “the Son of Man has authority to forgive sins on earth (2,10)” has been revealed as to heal the physical diseases and even soul, the savior of human soul and body.
