예비유아교사의 유치원교사에 대한 이미지 변화

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 유치원교사의 이미지에 대한 예비유아교사의 인식 및 변화를 분석하는 것이다. 연구대상은 4년제 대학 유아교육과 30명으로 2년 동안 이루어진 장기연구이다. 참여자들이 2학년때와 4학년때(동일한 자) ‘유치원교사는 00이다’라는 문항을 통해 이미지를 살펴보았고 이미지변화의 요인을 알아보기 위해 4학년이 되어서 개별면담을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 내용분석과 양적방법을 통해 분석되었다. 분석결과 첫째, 유치원 교사에 대한 이미지는 교육관이 확고한 자, 부모님과 같은 자, 유아발달 전문가, 다재다능한 자, 교수자, 건강한자로 분석되었고 학년이 올라가면서 유치원 교사 이미지는 변화하였다. 즉, 부모님과 같은 자의 이미지는 증가하였고 다재다능한 자의 이미지는 감소하였다. 교수자의 이미지는 매우 구체적이고 전문적으로 변화하였다. 둘째, 이미지를 변화하게 한 요인은 유아교육기관에서의 실습과 유아교육기관에서의 보조교사, 대학교 수업, 부모님, 유아관련 직업경험, 매스컴의 영향이었다. 예비교사들에게 충분한 시간을 제공하여 교사에 대한 이미지를 확고히 하고 토론해보는 반성적 시간이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore pre-service teachers perception and change on the image about kindergarten teachers. The subjects of this study were 30 students in early childhood department at a university. It was a longitudinal study conducted for two years. The data regarding the images that students had about kindergarten teachers were collected by having them answer the question which was kindergarten teachers are 000. Because of ---. Subjects were asked to answer that question when they were sophomores and then, to answer the same question when they were seniors in order to see the change. When they were seniors, the individual interview was conducted on the basis of their answers. A content analysis and qualitative analysis were conducted. The study results could be summarized as following. Firstly, the pre-service teachers perception about kindergarten teachers were analysed into such images as a person had firm vision on education, a person as development experts, a person with many abilities, a person like parents, a person as teaching professionals, and a healthy person. From their sophomore year to senior year, such image as like parents was emphasized. And the image of a person with many abilities was decreased. The image of teaching was more changed as an image of a concrete teacher than when they were sophomores. Secondly, the images change were influenced by experiencing practicum, working as assistant teachers at early childhood settings, taking courses at a university, parents, an arbeit with early years and mass-communication. Pre-service teachers needed a lots of reflective time to define and discuss about teachers images.
