국문 초록

이 글은 현재 진행되고 있는 프랑스의 교사양성제도의 개편내용을 살펴보고, 이러한 상황이 우리나라의 경우에 어떤 점을 시사해주고 있는지를 개괄적으로 검토하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. <교사양성대학(IUFM)>에서의 교사양성이라는 현행 제도에서 벗어나서 교사양성을 대학의 학위과정과 연계시켜 석사학위 소지자를 교사로 임용하고자 하는 것이 이번 교사양성제도 개편의 주된 내용이다. 먼저, 우리는 IUFM의 설립목적과 교육과정을 살핌으로써 현행 교사양성제도의 장단점을 드러내고 있다. 다음으로, 우리는 현재 진행 중인 교사양성임용제도의 개편이 드러내고 있는 특징과 방향을 살펴본 다음, ‘교직의 석사화’와 ‘임용시험 개편’을 중심으로 한 개편내용과 일정을 살펴보고 있다. 우리는 결론에서 우리나라의 상황과 관련하여 이러한 개편에 대한 연구의 필요성을 개괄적으로 지적하고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the reform of the system for the initial formation of the teachers in France. This reform consists of demanding a degree of master from prospective teachers instead of degree of bachelor and at integrating Institut Universitaire de la Formation des Maîtres(IUFM) to a university in the same Academy. In regard to the former, the universities, collaborated with the IUFM s integrated, are constructing the model of the master degree, whereas to the latter, the IUFM s have been already intgrated to the adjoining universities. We examine the concrete contents of this reform and its suggestions for the formation of the teachers in Korea. Especially, we are interested in the maintenance of IUFM as the intern institutions of university. It has the same meaning as the establishment of new institutions for the formation of teachers and the endowment of the same value both to academic formation and to professional formation. The system of formation and appointment of teachers in Korea is to select qualified persons by competitive examination without regard to the specificity of professorship. The very high acceptance rate in the examination makes it difficult to form the desirable teacher in every side. In conclusion, we propose to take efforts to observe the reform of the initial training of the teachers in France and to examine the disputes in the process of reform.
