국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 초등 미술교육에 적용이 가능한 영역별 협동학습 방법을 개발하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 교사 재량적 수업 디자인의 측면이 강화된 스펜서 케이건(Spencer Kagan)의 구조중심 협동학습을 고찰하고, 미적체험중심, 표현중심, 감상중심의 영역별 수업 디자인을 개발하여 교실 현장에 적용하였다. 학습자 활동 중심의 협동학습 구조는 학습자가 직접 선택하는 중심에 서서 능동적, 적극적으로 참여하는 미술수업으로 전환하는데 유효함이 발견되었다. 수업 중 상호작용을 통해 지식의 습득뿐 아니라 상호의견을 존중하고 수용하는 태도와 사고력 및 의사소통 기술이 신장되었으며, 경험하지 못한 주제나 활동을 공유하는 과정을 통해 시간적 제약을 극복하는 데에 도움이 되었다. 협동학습 구조는 학습자 상호간의 활동과 사고과정을 중시함으로써, 기존의 완성작품에 치중된 평가를 개선하고 사고력과 창의성을 개발시키는데 일조하는 것으로 분석되었다. 짧고 간단한 활용이 가능한 협동학습 구조의 적용과 놀이 활동을 통해 수업방법을 다양화함으로서 학습활동에 흥미와 활기를 더해 주었다. 아울러 주변 소재를 활용하여 수업결과를 실생활의 장으로 확대시켰다.

영문 초록

The objective of this study lies on the development of structure-based cooperative learning method for elementary school students and the confirmation of educational effectiveness in actual art classroom. For this purpose, Spencer Kagan s approach to cooperative learning is adopted in the development of curriculum model. The developed model includes activities for structured peer interaction emphasizing positive human relationships, collaboration between peers, active learning, academic achievement, equal participation, and equal status of students in the classroom. The results of application of the developed curriculum in elementary art class show that the structure-based cooperative learning is very useful for inducing the active participation of students on class activities and enhance not only the esthetic knowledge but also the cooperation abilities with voluntary manner. The results of class observation show that students can collaborate with each other in supportive and egalitarian ways. Mutual collaboration of students and teacher during the class was also helpful to overcome the time limitation which is one of the main problems in Korean art curricula. In conclusion, it was possible to activate the interest and participation of students by applying the structure-based cooperative learning method with playing activities.
