국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 친밀한 파트너를 살해한 조현병 환자의 특성을 탐색하는 것이다. 본 연구 수행을 위하여, 2017년부터 2019년까지 친밀한 파트너 살인 사건 336건의 1심 형사판결문을 수집하여 가해자가 조현병 진단을 받은 14건의 판결문을 피해자와 가해자의 나이, 성별, 살해 동기, 평소의 관계, 음주 상태 등을 중심으로 분석하였다. 연구진은 수집된 판결문을 Hsieh와 Shannon이 제시한 지시적 내용분석(directed content analysis)을 기초로 판결문을 정리하였다. 이후 연구자 간 교차검증을 통해, 신뢰도를 확인하였고, 그 결과를 바탕으로 결론을 도출하였다. 연구 결과, 조현병으로 진단받은 친밀한 파트너 살인범들의 동기는 의심(외도, 경제적 의심), 피해(박해, 감시, 음독, 구금), 무시(주관적, 비난, 비하), 기타(기괴망상, 비논리적 사고) 등으로 분류되었다. 또한, 조현병으로 진단받은 친밀한 파트너 살인 범죄자의 경우, 일반 살인 범죄자들에 비해 범행 당시 음주 비율이 낮았으며, 평소에 파트너와의 갈등을 경험하는 것으로 파악되었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 연구의 의의와 제언을 기술하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to explore the characteristics of schizophrenic patients who killed their intimate partners. To carry out this study, 336 first-trial criminal written judgments of intimate partner homicide cases from 2017 to 2019 were collected, and among them, 14 written judgments in which the perpetrator was diagnosed with schizophrenia were analyzed on the age, sex, and motive of the murder, usual relationship, the drinking status, etc. of the victim and the perpetrator. The researchers organized the collected judgments based on the directed content analysis presented by Hsieh and Shannon. After that, the validity of the study results was confirmed through cross-validation between researchers and conclusions were drawn based on the results. As a result of the study, the motives of partner murderer diagnosed with schizophrenia are classified as suspicion (affair, economic suspicion), damage (persecution, surveillance, taking poison, detention), ignorance (subjective, criticism, derogation), and others (delusion, illogical thinking) Classified as. In the case of an intimate partner murderer diagnosed with schizophrenia, the drinking rate at the time of the incident was lower than that of the general murderer, and it was found that they usually experience conflict with the partner. Based on these findings, the significance and suggestions of the research were described.
