한국의 기독교 평화교육의 연구 경향과 미래적 과제

국문 초록

1980년대부터 본격적으로 연구되기 시작한 한국의 기독교 평화교육은 최근에 이르기까지 주로 ‘통일’과 관련된 주제가 연구되어 왔고, 소수의 학자들에 의하여 연구되어 왔다. 그러나 기독교 평화교육의 주제는 개인 내부의 관계에서부터, 간인간적 관계, 민족 내의 관계, 간민족적 관계, 그리고 지구적 관계에 이르기까지 다양하다. 그러므로 기독교 평화교육에서 다루어야 할 주제는 통일만이 아니라, 다문화, 생태 혹은 환경, 세대 간 갈등, 성차별, 그리고 최근 세계 평화를 해치고 있는 종교간 갈등 등 다양한 주제와 관련되어 있다. 지금까지의 한국의 기독교 평화교육의 연구경향을 살펴보면, 1980, 90년대는 초기 연구시기로서 주로 통일교육과 관련되어 왔다. 2000년대부터는 비교적 다양한 주제를 다루어 왔는데, 통일, 폭력, 여성, 테러, 생태, 그리고 다문화와 관련된 연구의 결과가 있었다. 2010년대도 이전 시기보다 더 다양하게 연구되어 왔는데, 근래의 사회적 이슈와 관련된 다문화, 학교폭력, 타종교의 평화교육 등에 연구가 있어 왔다. 따라서 앞으로의 미래적 연구과제로는 다양한 학자들의 연구의 필요성, 다양한 연구주제에 대한 관심, 거대 담론 보다는 개인, 가족, 혹은 교회 등 비교적 지엽적인 측면에서의 연구, 그리고 이론적 연구만이 아니라 현장에서 실천할 수 있는 실행가능한 연구들이 요청된다.

영문 초록

Beginning in the 1980s, the main research of the Christian Peace Education in Korea was based on the themes of unification and similar themes, and was mainly done by a few researchers. However, there are many themes in Christian Peace Education such as intrapersonal, interpersonal, intranational, international and global relationships. Therefore, the themes Christian Peace Education should be con-cerned with are not only unification education but also other various themes such as multicultural education, ecology, generation discord, sexism, and religious struggles that are endangering world peace. Based on the research trends of Christian Peace Education until now, the 1980s and 1990s were the beginning stages and the main topic was unification education. From the 2000s, the research trends of Christian Peace Education became more diverse and the topics for re-search included unification education, violence, women’s rights, ter-rorism, ecology and multicultural education. . In the 2010s, research trends became even more diverse, concerned with themes related to current social issues like multicultural issues, violence in school, and peace education of other religions.Therefore, some future research topics to consider are: 1) the need for various researchers’ work, 2) at-tention for a diversity of research topics, 3) research based not on huge discussions but based on relatively minor issues such as intra-personal, interpersonal, and intranational issues, and 4) research not only from a theoretical approach but also a practical approach that can be applied and implemented.
