포스트모던 시대의 「대중인문 교양교육」과 기독교 평생교육의 가능성

국문 초록

평생교육의 맥락에서 ‘학습’은 학습자의 경험의 변화가 내적인 통일성과 통전성(holistic)을 획득하는 전 생애적 과정으로서의 인문학적 사유방식이며 평생에 걸친 인간 발달과업의 하나가 된다. 포스트모던 시대의 평생학습으로서의 인문학습의 부활은 대중인문교양이라는 대중의 욕구로 자리매김 되었다. 평생교육의 대중인문 교양교육 은 대중화 되었고, 인문학은 더 이상 특수한 계층의 전유물이 아니다. 기독교 평생교육의 과제는 대중의 욕구 즉, 인문학에 대한 관심과 욕구를 어떻게 교회교육의 현장에서 녹아낼지를 고민해야 할 것이다. 따라서 포스트모던 시대의 기독교교육은 평생교육 현장에서의 인문학의 부활과 활성화에 주목해야 한다. 이 시대의 기독교교육은 간학문적 연구를 위해 노력해왔다. 그러나 아직도 교회교육의 현장에서는 간학문적 노력 - 특히 인문학과의 연계성을 고려하지 못하고 있다. 소위 대형교회 몇몇만이 교회에서 노인학교, 아버지 학교, 결혼준비 학교, 다문화 교회교육(예배) 반 등을 운영하고 있을 뿐이다. 국가지원의 평생학습도시를 중점으로 한 평생학습도시, 평생학습축제 등이 지역적으로 활성화 되면서 이젠 교회와 지역사회 연계성은 약화되고 있다. 교회교육의 구색을 갖추기 위한 프로그램운영으로는 지역사회와 연동이 없을 뿐만이 아니라, 교회의 교인들만을 중심으로 하는 교리교육 체제를 벗어나기 어렵다. 기독교 공동체는 포스트모던시대에 논의의 초점이 되고 있는 인문학을 중심한 평생교육의 대중인문 교양교육 의 부활에 주목해야만 한다. 본 논문은 기독교교육의 노인을 위한 인문학적 성찰의 필요성과 평생교육의 가능성에 대하여 살펴볼 것이다. 특히 영화 시 에 나타난 노인을 위한 인문학적 성찰을 살펴봄으로서 교회공동체가 지역공동체로서 어떠한 역할을 해야 할지에 대한 기독교 평생교육의 가능성을 검토할 것이다. 평생교육의 인문학 부활과 기독교 평생교육의 가능성을 살펴보기 위해서 영화 한편을 분석하여 연구를 일반화시키는데 한계가 있겠지만 평생교육이 전 생애가 걸쳐서 이루어진다고 가정할 때, 영화 시 속에 나타나는 노인을 위한 인문학적 성찰은 일련의 메타포(metaphor) - 비유적 상징이 될 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to examine the significance of Christian education related to the movie ‘Poetry’. This paper focuses especially on the influence of humanity which displays a newly emerging non-university humanity study is linked with lifelong education in terms of adult education movement. In addition, the aim of this paper is to suggest the possibility of Church education for the aged learners from the perspective of humanities. Also, this study focused on the symbol and the meaning of death from the movie mentioned above. There are several worthy findings as follows: First, the paper provides education with the significance of death portrayed in the movie, ‘Poetry’ set in the media era of the 21st century. Secondly, we are able to review the common issue that affects all generations through the symbol of death. Thirdly, the opportunities of a life long education strengthened in the sense that all generations found the mutual interdependency among the community of the ordinary daily lives between teaching and learning. The research aims to examine the significance of the digital media for all generations. Finally, the aged learners faced difficulties in understanding the meaning of death and the crisis of old age. So they learned to overcome the fear of old ageby leaning on a lifelong education. Hopefully, this paper can contribute to both the old and the new generations overcoming intergenerational strife through understanding the symbol of the media. It is my intention that the argument for the symbol of death and a lifelong education from the movie will be covered by the digital era. I believe that both church education and humanity studies for the aged learners should be interlinked to make space for mutual communication which include the local population.
