한일 기계제품의 수출입 현황 분석

국문 초록

연구목적: 이 연구는 일본 도쿄와 한국의 수출입 비중이 높은 기계제품을 대상으로 무역실태를 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 기계제품의 분석은 일반기계, 전기기기, 운송용기기, 정밀기기로 나누어 전개한다. 논문구성/논리: 한국과 지리적으로 가까운 규슈지역 관할의 세관은 모지세관이며, 대한국 수입 비중이 높은 세관은 도쿄세관이다. 모지세관은 2010년 이후 도쿄세관보다 대한국 수출비중이 높지만, 수입은 도쿄세관의 비중이 높다. 이에 본 연구에서는 도쿄세관의 대한국 기계제품 수출입을 대상으로 분석을 전개하였다. 논문의 구성은 한국과 일본의 무역상황을 개관하고, 이후 도쿄의 대한국 기계제품 수출입의 수평무역 분석과 무역특화 지수를 이용하여 비교우위를 파악한다. 그리고 기계제품 수출입의 품목별 분석을 전개한다. 결과: 도쿄와 한국간의 수출입 비중이 높은 기계제품을 대상으로 무역실태를 분석하였고, 도출한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2019년 일본의 수출규제로 도쿄와 한국간의 무역에 영향을 미쳤다. 도쿄의 대한국 수출입은 2018년까지 증가하였지만, 2020년 감소하였기 때문에 수출규제의 영향이 작용한 것이라고 추론할 수 있다. 둘째, 도쿄의 대한국 수입은 규모측면에서 전기기기(HS85)가 차지하는 비중이 높다. 전기기기는 무역특화지수에서 마이너스 값으로 나타나 국제경쟁력이 매우 약한 것으로 나타나 대한국 수출보다 수입이 많은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 도쿄의 한국 간 기계제품 수출입이 불균형이다. 2010년부터 2020년까지 수출입에 변동이 있지만, 도쿄의 수출초과로 무역불균형 발생하고 있고 일반기계(HS84)의 영향이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이어서 정밀기기(HS90)로 나타났다. 증가규모는 변동이 있지만, 정밀기기의 수출이 일반기계보다 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 독창성/가치: 이 연구는 일본의 세관을 대상으로 한국과의 무역실태를 분석하였다는 점에서 의미가 있다. 일본과의 무역상황을 특정 지역에 한정하여 분석한 미시적 접근방법은 지역경제연구의 독창성을 갖는다고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the trade state of mechanical products that have a high proportion of exports and imports from Tokyo and Korea. The mechanical products in this analysis can be divided into general machinery, electrical equipment, transportation equipment, and precision equipment. Composition/Logic: Moji customs office governs the near areas from Kyushu that is geographically close from Korea, and Tokyo customs office has a high proportion of exports to Korea. Moji Customs has been getting a higher proportion of exports to Korea than Tokyo Customs since 2010, but Tokyo Customs has a greater proportion of imports than Moji Customs does. Therefore, this study set Tokyo Customs as the subject of analysis and studied on the import and export of Korean machinery products from there. This paper takes a critical view of the trade situation between Korea and Japan, and the import and export status of Korean machinery products in Tokyo is also studied by using the horizontal trade and the trade specialization index. In addition, the import and export status of the mechanical products is analyzed as well. Findings: The trade status was analyzed on machinery products with a high proportion of exports and imports between Tokyo and Korea, and the result of the study is as follows. First, Japan’s export regulations in 2019 affected the trade between Tokyo and Korea. Tokyo’s exports and imports to Korea have been increased until 2018, but it decreased in 2020, so it can be inferred that the export regulation worked and had an influence on the situation. Second, electric devices(HS85) account for a large portion of Tokyo’s imports to Korea. Electric devices were found to have a negative number in the trade specialization index, indicating that their international competitiveness was very weak, and they were imported more than they were exported to Korea. Third, the import and export of mechanical products between Japan and Korea is unbalanced. There were some fluctuations in exports and imports from 2010 to 2020, but trade imbalance has occurred due to Tokyo’s exports exceeds. Originality/Value: This study matters in that it analyzed the trade status with Korea from Japanese customs. The micro-approach, which analyzes the trade situation on certain regions, has the originality of regional economic research.
