국문 초록

중부지역의 청동기시대 연구에서 송국리유형의 형성에 관한 문제는 자생설과 외래설의 입장에서 주요 쟁점으로 다루어져왔으나, 지역적으로 중서부지역의 취락유적에 집중되어 중부 내륙지역의 ‘형태상 전기와 중기간의 중간형태로 여겨지는 물질문화’에 대한 연구는 비교적 미진한 편이다. 따라서 본고에서는 미호천유역을 중심으로 하는 중부 내륙지역‘중간형태의 물질문화’에 주목하여 이 지역의 청동기시대 전-중기 전이양상을 살펴보고자 한다. 토기의 문양을 중심으로 중부 내륙지역 청동기유적의 편년을 시도한 결과, 시간이 지나면서 가락동유형의 문화요소들이 점차 소멸하는 양상을 보이고 있지만, 공렬토기가 확인되지 않아 역삼동유형의 영향은 비교적 적었던 것으로 파악하였다. 뿐만 아니라 외반구연호,일단경촉, 기타 방형계 주거지 등 중기 주거지와 공통적으로 확인되는 요소들이 관찰되어, 중기로의 전이과정은 점진적으로 이루어졌을 것으로 파악한다. 특히 송국리에 선행하는 것으로 알려진 다양한 기타 방형계 주거지들이 송국리유형과 큰 시기차 없이 확인되었고, 이와 함께 구심구조의 형성과정과 밀접한 관련이 있는 것으로 알려진 반송리식 주거지 등 유사 구심구조를 갖춘 주거지들의 존재를 통해 이러한 양상의 주거지들이 송국리유형 형성과 관련 있기보다는 송국리문화의 외곽지역에서 나타나는 일반적인 양상일 가능성이 높다고 판단한다. 이처럼‘중간형태의 물질문화’는 연구자에 따라 기원 또는 접변결과로 해석될 정도로 지역별로 형태상 큰 차이를 보이지 않는다. 그렇기 때문에 앞으로의 연구에서는 송국리문화권 전역에서 확인되는 선송국리유형, 즉‘중간형태의 물질자료’에 대한 검토가 선행되어야 하며, 접변과 형성과정으로 분류할 수 있는 기준에 대한 충분한 논의가 이루어진 후에 송국리유형의 기원에 관한 연구가 이루어져야 할 것으로 생각된다.

영문 초록

Most researches on the transition course from the early to the middle periods in Bronze Age in the central inland region of Korea have been focused on the relation between Yeoksamdong assemblage and Songgukri assemblage in the central west costal area. On the other hands, Garakdong assemblage in the central inland region hasn’t been receiving much attention for the transition course to the middle period. Therefore, this study reviews the transition course from the early to the middle period in Bronze Age of the Miho River Basin where Garakdong assemblage has more uniformity in the early culture in the central inland region. And, through the review, the basis to interpret ‘Prior Songgukri’ related material culture found in entire Songgukri culture area is established. To review the Miho River Basin’s transition course from the early to the middle period in Bronze Age, the time period is set based on the pattern change of the double-rimed short oblique line pattern pottery. According to the result of such period separation, decline of the pottery pattern component and the change of interior structure in the settlements don’t overlap to each other perfectly. Also, in the Miho River Basin’s Garakdong assemblage, no perforated pottery is found. And, the trend shows that the cultural components commonly found in Garakdong assemblage and Songgukri assemblage are started to be confirmed before the advent of Songgukri assemblage. Through this point of view, the cause for the change in cultural components of Garakdong assemblage can be assumed to be based on the necessity rather than the influence of external factors either from Songgukri assemblage or Yeoksamdong assemblage. The change trend such as the decline process of the early period’s cultural components and the advent of other square type settlements is determined to be a general phenomenon usually appeared in the early and the middle periods transition course. Since the time positions of ‘material data in intermediate forms’ found in Asan Bay area and the Miho River Basin are different, the data found in the areas my be weighted more in the possibility to be a cultural assimilation rather than a formation process. However, even if such trend is the result of a cultural assimilation with Songgukri assemblage, the same trend is confirmed in the ‘formation process’ of other Asan Bay areas so that defining the accurate characteristics is difficult currently. Therefore, detail reviews on ‘material data in intermediate forms’ confirmed in the entire Songgukri culture distributed area should be preceded in the future studies followed by discussions on the criteria to classify the assimilation and the formation process.
