국문 초록
永井荷風の小説作品に登場する女性と言えば、まず心に浮かぶのは、芸者や娼婦のような社会の底辺に生きる女性と言えよう。また、作家の作品傾向は、その作家の周辺環境と関わりをもって展開されるのが一般と言えよう。そこで、本稿では、永井荷風の作品を彼の外遊の前·中·後の三つの成立時期に分け、作品に登場するヒロインの女性像について考察してみた。 まず、外遊の前の傾向としては、一身上の都合によりやむなく芸者となった、言わば被害者としての女性が登場する。ところが、彼女たちは、當時の一般情緒とは違って、誰かに犯されても自殺もせず、現実を素直に受け入れる勇気のある女性として描かれる。また、外遊中の作品においては、主に外国住まいの日本人女性と外国人女性が登場するが、前者の場合は、その外貌も芳しくなく、いつも相手に捨てられる身として描かれる。それに反し、後者の場合は、出身もよく芸術好きで、特に主人公の男とも精神的なつながりをもつ頗る肯定的な女性として描かれる。また、帰国後の作品にみる女性像は、今までの傾向とは違って、娼婦としての肉欲描写が非常に積極的で、愛を求めながらも自尊心が高く、また孤独で独立的な存在として描かれる。ところで、こういった荷風文学にみえる女性像の変化は、それぞれ自分の身辺の環境変化が反映されたもので、またその変化に応じた彼の女性観でもあろう。
영문 초록
When it comes to women in Kafu Nagai s works, people firstly think of women who live at the bottom of the society, like geishas and prostitutes. The characteristics of his works are closely related to his living environment. In the present article, the works of Kafu Nagai were divided into three stages, namely before travelling abroad, during the travelling period and after travelling in accordance with the time nodes when he travelled abroad to the West, to study the female images of female characters created in the works of these three different stages. Firstly, in terms of his creation tendency before travelling abroad, female characters he created were mostly forced by their surroundings to become geishas, namely the so-called victim image. However, different from the prevailing values at that time, they kept on living with the image of females who faced reality and lived bravely, rather than committing a suicide because of losing virginity. Secondly, in his works created during the travelling period, he mainly portrayed the Japanese women who lived abroad and foreign women. Most of the former presented women with the image of poor appearance always abandoned by the men. On the contrary, the latter portrayed the women who came from a good family, had artistic culture, and could communicate with the male protagonist spiritually. Finally, the image of women who returned home was slightly different from the previous image. He paid more attention to the sensual description of prostitutes, while most of these women dared to pursue love, had high self-esteem, and were portrayed as lonely and independent beings. The creation tendency of Kafu Nagai was different from the general opinions at that time. Each of these changes in the image of women in the Kafu literature reflects changes in one’s own body, and may have been his view of women in response to those changes.
