국문 초록

장애인의 삶의 질에 대한 연구는 장애인들이 인간으로서 얼마나 보편적인 삶을 누리고 있는가에 대한 척도가 된다는 점에서 매우 중요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 최근 특수교육 도우미 및 장애인 돌봄 도우미 등과 같이 특수교육 분야 및 장애인복지 분야에서 관련 서비스가 확대되는 상황에서 지체부자유학생이 느끼고 있는 삶의 질의 정도를 알아보고, 지체부자유학생이 느끼고 있는 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴보는 것이다. 그러기 위해서 본 연구에서는 지체부자유 학생의 삶의 질을 결정함에 있어 중요한 요건인 사회환경에 주목하였다. 사회환경은 지체부자유학생 삶의 질 연구에서 그동안 상대적으로 소홀히 여겨져 왔던 부분으로 여기서의 사회환경은 물리적 개념을 포함한 심리 사회적인 환경을 포함한다. 이상과 같은 문제의식에 입각하여 본 연구에서는 전남 지역에 소재하고 있는 장애인 관련 시설 및 학교의 지체부자유 학생 166명을 대상으로 조사를 실시하였다. 본 조사에서 사용한 척도는 ① 건강, ② 대인관계, ③ 가족, ④ 생활환경, ⑤ 사회관계, ⑥ 직업, ⑦ 사회참가, ⑧ 경제, ⑨ 여가의 9개 하위영역 50문항으로 구성되었으며, 전체항목의 Cronbach′ Alpha 계수는 .971로 나타났다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 삶의 질에 대한 9개 하위 영역별 중요 정도의 순위의 특징을 살펴보면, 9개 하위영역 중 건강 요인과 대인관계 요인, 가족 요인을 가장 중요한 요인으로 인식하고 있는 반면, 직업 요인이나 경제 요인, 여가 요인에 대해서는 상대적으로 중요하지 않는 요인으로 인식하고 있었다. 둘째, 삶의 질에 대한 지체부자유 학생의 인식은 대상자의 77,1%가 중요한 요인으로 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 성별에 있어서는 지체부자유 남학생(74.4%)보다 지체부자유 여학생(80.3)이 더 중요하다고 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

A study on the quality of life(QOL) that assesses that how universal life physically handicapped people enjoy as a human is considered very significant. Recently, the service related with special education or social welfare such as assistant service has increasingly spread. Thus, the purpose of this study is to examine QOL felt by physically handicapped students and the factors influencing their levels of quality of life. In order to achieve this purpose, this study explored the research question that what factors had effects on QOL in physically handicapped students preparing for employment with its focus on social environment which has been relatively neglected in researches on QOL in physically handicapped students. In order to verify the research question, 166 physically handicapped students in the institutions or schools for the handicapped located in Jeonnam participated in this study. The scale used in this study consisted of 50 items of 9 subareas: ① health, ② personal relations, ③ family, ④ living environment, ⑤ social relations, ⑥ job, ⑦ social participation, ⑧ economy, and ⑨ leisure. The Cronbach Alpha coefficient of a total of items was .971. The following results were obtained. First, the importance priority of 9 subareas on QOL was examined. Health, personal relations, and family factors were found to be considered important, while job, economy, and leisure factors were found to be considered relatively not important. Second, the perception of QOL by physically handicapped students was examined.
