지체부자유아 형제의 스트레스 및 대처전략

국문 초록

본 연구는 일반 아동의 형제 및 타 장애 영역과 상이하거나 복잡한 형태로 나타날 것으로 가정되는 지체부자유아 형제의 스트레스 수준과 이에 영향을 주는 요소가 무엇인지 살펴보고, 지체부자유아 형제의 스트레스 대처 전략의 유형과 경향을 제시하고자 시도되었다. B시와 S시에 소재하는 H학교와 W학교 지체부자유아 형제 92명을 대상으로 설문지 조사법에 따라 연구한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 지체부자유아 형제의 스트레스 척도의 네 하위 영역별 스트레스 수준은 부모와의 관계로 인한 스트레스 영역에서 가장 높은 스트레스를 나타내었고, 사회적 스트레스 영역에서 가장 낮은 스트레스를 나타내었다. 이러한 결과는 가족 전체의 통합과 적응을 도울 수 있는 프로그램 개발이 시급함을 시사한다. 둘째, 지체부자유아 형제의 스트레스 수준은 지체부자유아의 장애 등급, 성별에 따라 차이가 있었다. 장애 등급은 2급일 때 전 영역에서 지체부자유아 형제의 스트레스가 높게 나타났으며 지체부자유아의 성별이 여자일 때 형제의 사회적 스트레스가 높게 나타났다. 이는 지체부자유아가 2급일 때, 그리고 여아일 때 형제에 대한 사회적, 물질적 지원과 스트레스 대처 프로그램 개발이 절실히 요청됨을 시사한다. 셋째, 지체부자유아 형제의 스트레스 수준은 그들의 학부, 지체부자유아와의 관계, 성적, 형제수에 따라 차이가 있었다. 학부는 전 영역에서 고등부 형제의 스트레스가 높고, 심리적, 사회적, 형제와의 관계로 인한 스트레스 영역에서 손아래보다 손위의 스트레스가 높게 나타났다. 성적은 하인 형제가 상보다 심리적 스트레스가 높으며, 형제수에서는 4명이 3명보다 형제와의 관계로 인한 스트레스가 높게 나타났다. 이 결과는 지체부자유아 형제가 고등부일 때, 손위일 때, 성적이 하일 때 형제수가 4명 일 때 가족 적응 프로그램 개발에서 이들에 대한 지원이 우선되어야 함을 시사한다. 넷째, 지체부자유아 형제들과 인터뷰한 내용을 통해 지체부자유아 형제의 스트레스 대처전략을 가족의 통합 및 협력, 사회·국가적 지지, 적극적·긍정적 사고, 문제 해결의 네 유형으로 나누고 그 경향을 질적으로 분석하였다. 이러한 결과는 사회적 구성원의 인식 전환과함께 국가, 사회적 지지의 확충이 절실히 요청됨을 시사한다.

영문 초록

As compared with siblings of general child and different disability area, this reseach has been examined factor that influenced for stress level and for siblings of children with physical disability which is supposed to be appeared like different and complex form and examined type and trend of coping strategy. We can make a investigation conclusion which has been done according to questionare investigation by ninety two siblings of children with physical disability of H school and W school in B city S city First, the stress level of four lower area in stress scale of the siblings of children with physical disability shows highest stress level in stress area caused by the relationship with parents and lowest in social stress area. this result shows that it urges to develop program that helps adaptaion and inclusion of whole family Second, the stress level of siblings of children with physical disability has difference according to the degree of disability, sex. When degree of disability is second grade, in whole area, stress of siblings of children with physical disability is high. when sex of children with physical disability is female, siblilngs s social stress is high, this result shows that needs severely program development of stress coping and social, economic support for siblings Third, the stress level of siblings of children with physical disability has difference according to the age school, relationship with siblings, the number of siblings and score. In age school, in whole area, stress of siblings of high school is high. In social, psychological stress area and in stress area of relationship with siblings it shows higher in senior than in junior. In score, psychological stress is higher in lower grade than in high grade. In the number of siblings, stress of relationship with siblings is higher in four than in three. In program development for family adaptation, this result shows that support for them must be prior Four, through interviewing with siblings of children with physical disability, coping strategy of siblings of children with physical disability was divided to four type and the trend was analysed qualitatively. this result shows that needs severely expansion of national, social support and thought conversion of social member for siblings of children with physical disability.
