국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 지체부자유학생과 일반학생의 가족체제유형과 자기결정능력과의 관계를 알아보는 것이다. 연구자는 이를 위해 초·중·고등학생 중 지체부자유학생 191명, 일반학생 400명을 연구대상으로 설문조사 방법을 이용하여 자료를 수집하고 이를 분석 하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 일반학생이 지체부자유학생보다 유의하게 자기결정능력이 높았으며 연령이 높아질수록 그 차이는 더욱 커졌다. 둘째, 자기결정능력은 가족체제유형에 따라 상당히 유의한 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 지체부자유학생과 일반학생 집단의 가족체제유형 간 상호작용효과는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 일반학생과 지체부자유학생은 자기결정능력에서 유의한 차이가 있었고 가족체제유형에 따라서도 유의한 차이가 있었으나, 지체장애 유무와 가족체제유형은 상호 독립적으로 자기결정능력과 관계가 있었다. 그러므로 모든 학생들의 자기결정능력향상을 위해서는 가족 간 긍정적 상호작용을 활성화할 필요가 있음을 제안한다.

영문 초록

Researchers will compare the influence of the family system type on the ability of self-determination between the families with and without physically disabled children. The subjects are as followings. (1) Is there any difference in self-determination ability between the physically disabled children and non disabled children? (2) How the family system types affect physically disabled children and non disabled children self-determination ability? The targeted students were 191 physically disabled children from special education school, and 400 non-disabled children from the local schools nation wide (They lived in Seoul, Busan, Gyeongi, Chun-Buk, Chun-Nam and Gyeong-Nam). The research results are as followings. (1) Attentively non-disabled children came out to be meaningfully high in self-determination ability, comparing to the physically disabled children. (2) Also, it was found that the family system type does affect their self-determination ability. (3) However, statistically, children self-determination ability(without any difference between those with disability and those without disability) proved to be high in self-determination when they belonged to the balanced family. But in the case of extreme family, self-determination ability was low. This survey study clearly proved that the self-determination ability of not only physically disabled children but also non-disabled children is influenced substantially by interactive relationship among the family members as well as their family.
