국문 초록

본 연구는 일반 초등학교 통합교육 환경에 있는 지체부자유, 정신지체, 학습장애, 청각장애 아동들에 대한 또래들의 장애인식 태도를 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 전체 연구 대상 아동은 538명이었으며, 연구 결과를 알아보기 위하여 기술통계, t검정, 변량분석을 하였으며 연구 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지체부자유 아동과 학습장애 아동에 대한 또래들의 장애인식 태도는 전반적으로 통합반이 비통합반보다 부정적인 태도를 가지고, 정신지체 아동과 청각장애 아동에 대한 또래들의 장애인식 태도는 통합반이 비통합반보다 긍정적인 태도를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학습장애 아동에 대한 또래아동의 장애인식 태도는 남학생이 여학생보다 더 부정적인 태도를 보인다고 할 수 있다. 청각장애 아동에 대한 장애인식태도는 학업 영역에서만 남학생이 여학생보다 더 부정적인 태도를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 지체부자유, 학습장애, 청각장애 아동에 대한 또래아동들의 장애인식 태도는 저학년이 고학년보다 더 긍정적인 태도를 보였으며, 학년이 올라갈수록 장애인식 태도가 더 부정적인 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 지체부자유 아동에 대한 또래아동의 장애인식 태도는 학년이 낮을수록, 비통합일수록 긍정적이고, 정신지체 아동에 대한 또래아동의 장애인식 태도는 학년이 낮을수록, 통합반일수록 긍정적이었다. 학습장애 아동에 대한 또래아동은 학년이 올라갈수록 통합반일수록 장애인식 태도가 부정적이었으며, 청각장애 아동에 대한 또래아동의 장애인식 태도는 학년이 낮을수록, 통합반일수록 긍정적이었다. 그러므로 지체부자유 아동과 학습장애 아동에 대한 또래아동의 장애인식 태도는 학년이 낮을수록 비통합반일수록 긍정적이고, 정신지체 아동과 청각장애 아동에 대한 또래아동의 장애인식 태도는 학년이 낮을 수록 통합반일수록 긍정적인 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the attitude of peer groups toward the children with physical disabilities and mental retardation, learning disabilities, hearing impairment in the inclusive environment. This study was conducted with 156 children with physical disabilities, 128 mentally retarded children, 125 children with learning disabilities and 129 hearing impaired children making up 538 in total. Mean, standard deviation, t-test and ANOVA were done to draw out the conclusions according to different study purposes. The findings of this study were as follows; First, the attitude of peer groups toward physically disabled children and children with learning difficulties in the inclusive class was more negative compared to those in the non-inclusive study class. On the other hand, the attitude of peer groups in the non-united class towards the mentally retarded and the hearing impaired in the united class was more positive compared to those in the non-inclusive class. Second, it can be said that the attitude of male peers toward the children with learning disabilities was more negative compared to the female peers. However, it has been found out that the attitude of male peers toward the hearing impaired was more negative than female when it came to the study field. Third, peers in the lower class levels showed a more positive attitude toward the physically disabled, children with learning disabilities and the hearing impaired compared to peers in the higher class levels. Therefore, peers showed more negative attitudes as the class levels got higher. Fourth, peers in the lower class levels or in non-inclusive class showed more positive attitudes toward the children with physical disabilities, whereas peers in the lower class levels or in inclusive class showed more positive attitudes toward the mentally retarded. Furthermore, the peers in the higher class levels or in the inclusive classroom had more negative attitude toward the children with learning disabilities, and the peers in the lower class levels or in the inclusive classroom tended to have more positive attitude toward the children with hearing impairment. In conclusion, therefore, peer groups in the lower class levels or in the non-inclusive classroom showed more positive attitude toward the children with physical disabilities or children with learning disabilities, whereas those in lower class levels or in inclusive classroomshad more positive attitudes toward the mentally retarded or the hearing impaired.
