국문 초록

장애학생들은 여러 가지 이유로 의사소통에 방해를 받고 있다. 의사소통에 방해를 받는 이유는 분명하지 않지만 의사소통의 장애가 장애학생 개인의 삶에 영향을 미치고 있음이 분명하다. 장애학생들의 의사소통 장애를 개선하고 극복하기 위해 도입된 방법이 보완·대체 의사소통이다. 이 연구는 국내 학계에 발표된 장애학생을 위한 보완·대체 의사소통에 관한 연구들을 수집하여 동향을 분석한 연구이다. 분석논문의 선정은 대학학술 정보 공유 시스템과 현장연구대회 보고서, 국립특수교육원 자료실 등을 통하여 수집하여 분석하였다. 분석은 연구의 목적, 대상, 방법, 결과를 비교 분석하였다. 특히 최근 도입된 연구의 분야라 통계에 의한 양적 분석을 피하고 각 분석방법에 따라 질적으로 분석하였다. 분석에 따른 결과로는 연구의 목적은 의사소통 장애 학생들의 수용언어나 표현언어의 개선을 통한 삶의 질 향상에 기여하고자 했고, 연구대상은 다양한 장애의 영역에서 의사소통장애를 나타내고 있었으며, 연구의 방법으로는 단일 대상연구를 비롯하여 문헌연구, 행동수정, 언어중재 프로그램, 설문조사 등으로 다양한 연구방법을 채택하고 있었다. 또 이 연구들은 의사소통 장애 학생들에게 계획적, 체계적 지도를 실시할 것을 강조하였으며, 점차 연구의 범위가 장애학생들뿐만 아니라 실어증환자나 치매환자로 확대되고 있었다. 결과를 토대로 앞으로 연구의 방향에 대해서는 앞선 연구들이 실시하지 못한 의사소통 장애인들의 주변인들도 보완·대체 의사소통 방법을 알고 있어야 할 것이며, 각 장애학생들의 특성을 면밀하게 분석하여 치밀하게 계획되어 지도되어야 할 것이다. 또, 국내에서 통일된 자료로 도구가 표준화될 필요성과 더 사용이 편리하고 용이하도록 단순화한 도구의 개발이 절실함을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

Disability students have interruptive obstacles to their communication due to lots of reasons. Although the reasons have not been verified clearly yet, it s apparent that their individual lives are affected by communication disorders. Thus augmentative and alternative communication(AAC) was introduced in order to help disability students improve their communication and overcome communication disorders. This study presents an analysis of the researches trends on AAC for disability students published in Korea. The System of College and University Scientific Information Sharing, the reports on the field research contests, and the data of Korea Institute for Special Education were reviewed to select and analyze the articles. The comparative approach was taken to analyze them in terms of goals, subjects, methods, and results. And particular attention was paid to avoid quantitative analysis based on statistics and focus on qualitative analysis according to each analysis method since the area of this study was recently introduced. The findings were as follows: The most common goal of those articles was to contribute to the improvement of life quality of disability students with communication disorder by enhancing their receptive or expressive language. The subject of them was communication disorders in various disability areas. The methods adopted included single-subject research, literature research, behavior correction, linguistic intervention programs, and survey. The researches placed emphasis on the well-planned and systematic instruction of disability students with communication disorders. The research scope seemed to expand to include aphasiacs and demented people in addition to disability students. The findings can be made use of in helping the people around the disabled with communication disorders learn about AAC since the previous researches didn t cover them. In addition, it s important and urgent to use more thoroughly planned programs in teaching each disability student by analyzing their characteristics fully, to standardize the related instruments with the unified domestic data, and to develop simplified instruments that are easier and more convenient to use.
