정보영재학생과 일반학생의 뇌파와 두뇌활용능력의 차이 분석

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 정보영재학생과 일반학생을 대상으로 뇌파와 두뇌활용능력의 차이를 검증함으로써 기존의 판별도구를 보완하고 추후 정보영재 판별기준의 타당성을 높일 수 있다는 점에서 그 연구의 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 대상자는 I광역시에 소재한 단위학교영재학급에 재학 중인 정보영재학생 108명과 I광역시에 소재한 일반학생 13명을 선정하고 그들의 뇌파와 두뇌활용능력의 차이를 검증하였다. 본 연구의 교육적 시사점은 다음과 같이 정리할 수 있다. 첫째, 정보영재학생은 눈을 감은 안정상태에서 측정한 자발뇌파 중 Gamma파, H-Beta파가 일반학생보다 더 낮았다. 따라서 안정상태에서 정보영재학생은 일반학생보다 불안, 초조, 스트레스의 정도가 낮고 이완이 잘되는 특성을 보인다. 또한 정보영재학생은 눈을 뜬 각성상태에서 측정한 자발뇌파 중 SMR파는 높고 Theta파가 낮았다. 따라서 각성상태에서 정보영재학생은 일반학생보다 주의집중력과 기억력, 자기조절능력이 높은 특성을 보인다. 둘째, 정보영재학생이 과제를 해결할 때 측정한 유발뇌파 중 좌뇌와 우뇌 모두 Alpha파가 더 높게 나타났고 Theta파는 반대로 낮게 나타났다. 따라서 과제를 해결할 때, 정보영재학생은 주의력이 높고 의식이 명확한 특성을 보인다. 셋째, 정보영재학생의 두뇌활용능력, 공간지각능력, 기억력 영역의 뇌파를 측정한 결과, 인지강도와 집중력, 좌뇌의 활성도가 높게 나타났다. 따라서 정보영재학생은 과제를 수행할 때 일반학생보다 집중을 잘하며 상대적으로 좌뇌를 많이 쓰는 특성을 보인다.

영문 초록

In this study, the educational implications of this study can be summarized as fol ows, as it can supplement existing discriminant to ls and enhance the validity of future information gifted discrimination criteria by verifying dif erences in brainwave and brain utilization capabilities for students. First, information gifted students had lower Gamma and H-Beta among the spontaneous brain waves measured in a closed-eyed stable state than ordinary students. Therefore, under stable conditions, intel igence gifted students show lower levels of anxiety, nervousnes , and stres than ordinary students, les nervous and more relaxed. Second, among the induced brain waves measured in solving the chal enges of intel igence gifted students, both left and right brain showed higher alpha waves, while Theta waves were lower. Thus, when solving a task, intel igence gifted students exhibit a high level of at ention and clear consciousnes . Third, the results of measuring brain waves in the field of brain utilization, spatial perception, and memory of intel igence gifted students showed high cognitive strength, concentration, and left brain activity. Therefore, intel igence gifted students have a higher cognitive intensity, bet er concentration, and relatively more left brain when performing tasks.
