국문 초록

본 연구는 브루너가 문화주의 교육이론에서 인격형성을 시사하는 것들과 관련하여 그의 교육이론을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 문화주의의 교육적 접근은 기본적으로 간주관성 및 의미 만들기의 탐구가 그 핵심이다. 간주관성은 아동들이 의미 만들기를 통해 자신의 특유한 견해를 자각하고, 나아가 이것을 준거로 다른 사람들과의 교류 및 교섭 과정에서 문화의 표준적 신념이나 공공의 판단을 결정하는 것을 말한다. 교육에 대한 여러 문화주의의 시각들은 의미 만들기의 기회가 아동들에게 공평하게 주어짐으로써 그들이 마음의 힘을 확대해 나갈 수 있도록 해야 한다는 관점이라 할 수 있다. 결국, 문화에 의한 마음의 힘의 확대는 일과 권력에 관련된 사회 및 역사의 힘으로부터 자아의 역량을 형성하고 아동들이 정체성과 하나의 위치(입장) 그리고 양심 등의 의미를 구성(이해)하는 것이다. 자아 정체성의 형성, 하나의 위치 찾기, 마음잡기 등의 인격형성은 내러티브(이야기 만들기)가 교육의 과정에 잘 조화되어 적용될 때 실현될 수 있다. 그러므로 행동적 목표의 수행(성취결과)으로부터 개인적 역량의 수행(자신의 입장과 의견을 자각하고, 공공의 판단을 결정하는 것)으로 수업의 준거를 옮기도록 교사를 도와줄 때 우리의 교육의 과정은 전환이 가능하다고 말할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze Bruner s educational theory in relation to the suggestion of personality formation in culturalism. The key to the educational approach of culturalism is basically making meanings of intersubjectivity. Intersubjectivity refers to children s awareness of their own unique views through making meanings, and furthermore, achieving the standard beliefs or public judgments of culture in the process of exchanges and negotiations with others. Many perspectives on education of culturalism are the view that children should be given the opportunity to create meanings fairly so that they can expand their power of mind(self). In the end, the expansion of the power of the mind by culture is to form a culture(competence) of self from the power of society and history related to work and power, and construct(understand) the meaning of identity, one place and conscience. Also, the formation of self-identity, finding a place and prise de conscience can be realized when narrative(making stories) is applied harmoniously in the process of education. Therefore, it can be said that the process of our education can be changed when we help teachers gradually move the criteria of instruction from the performance of behavioral goals (achievement results) to the performance of personal competence (to be aware of his or her own place and opinion and to decide on public judgment).
