대학생의 글쓰기에 나타난 <한글 맞춤법>의 오류 유형 분석

국문 초록

이 논문에서는 대학생이 쓴 글 150편에 나타난 한글 맞춤법의 오류 유형과 빈도를 제시하고 오류내용을 고찰하였다. 그 결과 [57항] 단어 및 문법 요소 구별, [27~31항] 합성어 및 접두사가 붙은 말, [32~40항] 준말, [56항] 어미(-더라, -던, -든지), [10~12항] 두음 법칙, [19~26항] 접미사가 붙어서 된말, [15~18항] 어간과 어미, [8, 9항] 모음, [53항] 어미(예사소리, 된소리), [51항] 부사(-이/히) 그리고[6항] 구개음화, [5항] 된소리, [13항] 겹쳐 나는 소리 순으로 오류가 나타났다. 오류가 나타난 조항을살펴보면서 현실 발음이 표기에 영향을 미침, 표기 규약과 현실 발음은 다른 차원의 문제임, 어근의본뜻이 유지되면 원형을 밝혀 적어야 함, 어근의 본뜻이 유지되지 않으면 소리 나는 대로 적어야 함, 자신이 쓴 표기가 올바른지 확인하기 위해 사전을 찾아보는 학생이 드물기 때문에 오류 형태를 반복사용하여 굳어지면 자가 수정이 쉽지 않음, 규정 자체의 제약과 까다로움도 오류의 원인이 될 수 있음, 가르칠 때 고빈도의 일상어 위주로 예를 들어야 함 등의 내용을 언급하였다. 또한, 오류 분석의 교육적활용 가능성을 언급하며 그 중요성을 다시 한번 강조하였다.

영문 초록

This study presented the types and frequencies of Korean orthographic errors in 150 papers written by university students and examined the content of those errors. As a result, the errors found were in the order of distinction of words and grammar elements [item 57], compound words and words with prefixes [items 27~31], abbreviations [items 32~40], endings (-deora, -deon, -deunji) [item 56], words with initial letter rules [items 10~12], words attached with affixes [items 19~26], stems and endings [items 15~18], vowels [items 8, 9], endings (basic sound, tensed sound [item 53], adverbs (-i/hi) [item 51] and palatalization [item 6], tensed sound [item 5], and sounds pronounced when similar phonemes overlap [item 13]. In examining the items with errors, we can see that the content including actual pronunciation affects writing, while the issue of writing convention is a matter of different dimensions from the actual pronunciation. Moreover, the original form must be identified and clearly written when the original meaning of the root is maintained, and a word should be written as it sounds when the original meaning of the root is not maintained. Furthermore, self-correction is difficult after repeated use of error types becomes habitual because few students search dictionaries to confirm the correctness of their writing. Certain restrictions and the strictness of various rules can also cause errors, and teaching examples must focus on high-frequency, everyday words. Finally, the possibility of the educational use of error analysis was mentioned to emphasize its importance.
