학교공간 재구조화를 통한 농어촌 학교 발전 방안

국문 초록

본 연구는 농어촌 학교혁신의 매개로서 학교공간이 갖는 확장성을 알아보고 학교공간 재구조화를 통한 농어촌 학교 발전 방안을 탐색한 것이다. 본 연구의 주된 문제의식은 농어촌의 학교는 지역민들에게 단순한 교육기관에 머물지 않고 일상생활과 정체성의 거점으로서 특별한 의미를 갖는다는 것이다. 현재 세종시의 농어촌 학교의 대부분은 교실단위의 교육과정을 운영하도록설계되어 있어 특별실이 부족하고 학생 수를 기준으로 한 학교시설단가기준에 의해 오래된 구조의 부분적 증축으로 안정성과 기능성 또한 저하된 구조를 갖고 있었다. 본 연구에서는 농어촌 학교의 입지적 맥락과 학교가 주로 담당하는 교육서비스 패턴의 변화를 고려하여 크게 세 가지의 공간재구조화 방안을 제안하였다. 첫째는 고립된 위치에 입지하는 학교를 대상으로 한 ‘복합기능으로서의 공간’, 둘째는 초·중학교가 인접하여 입지한 학교를 대상으로한 ‘연계형 교육과정으로 특화된 공간’, 셋째는 읍지역의 구도심에 위치한 학교를 대상으로 한 ‘개방형 복합문화센터로서의 공간’ 이다.

영문 초록

This study investigates the expandability of school space on as a medium for school innovation in rural areas and explores ways to develop rural schools through school space restructuring. The main problem consciousness of this study is that schools in rural areas do not remain as simple educational institutions to local residents, but have a special meaning as a base for everyday life and identity. Currently, most of Sejong City s rural schools are designed to operate classroom-level curriculum, so there is a lack of specialized-classrooms and a structure with reduced stability and functionality due to partial extension of the old structure according to the school-facility-unit-price based on the number of students. In this study, three development models were proposed, taking into account the locational context of rural schools and changes in educational service patterns that schools are mainly responsible for. The first is a ‘complex functional space model’ targeting schools located in isolated locations, the second is an ‘integrated education school model’ targeting schools located adjacent to elementary and junior high schools, and the third is targeting schools located in the old city center of the town. It is an ‘open-ended complex cultural center model’.
