국문 초록

본 연구에서는 중소기업의 경영혁신기법과 성과관리시스템의 상호작용의 관점에서 기업성과에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 경영혁신기법 활용정도의 증가에 따라 재무적 성과지표의 사용정도는 감소하는 반면에 비재무적 성과지표의 사용정도는 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며. 경영혁신기법 활용정도의 증가와 비재무적 성과지표 사용정도의 증가는 기업성과에 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 하지만 재무적 성과지표의 사용정도가 증가할수록 기업성과가 증가할 것이라는 연구가설은 성립하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 경영혁신기법을 도입한 기업이 경영혁신기법의 활용에 따른 다양한 비재무적 성과를 효율적으로 측정하지 못하고 있다는 점을 반영하는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 재무적 성과지표와 비재무적 성과지표의 사용정도는 모두 경영혁신기법 활용정도의 증가와 기업성과 관계에 대하여 조절효과를 나타내는 것으로 분석되었다. 이상의 분석결과에 따라 경영혁신기법을 도입한 기업은 성과관리시스템의 다양한 성과지표를 전략적인 통제수단으로 사용함으로써 기업성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있는 것으로 본다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes empirically the effect on the business performance of small and medium size companies of Management Innovation Technique(MIT) and Performance management systems(PMS) from their interaction point of view. Results of the study are as follows. While the usage of non financial performance indices increases by increasing MIT utilization, but the usage of financial performance indices decreases. Both increases of the MIT utilization and the usage of non financial performance indices give positive impact on the business performance. However the hypothesis of increasing the usage of financial performance gives positive impact on the performance are not accepted. This result can be interpreted that firms of using MIT do not efficiently measure various non financial performance from MIT utilization. Increasing usage of both financial and non financial performance indices gives moderating effects on the relationship of MIT and business performance. Overall, these results suggest that firms of using MIT are able to give affirmative influence on their business performance by utilizing the various performance indices of PMS for strategic control tools.
