여성노인의 성평등 교육 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 여성노인에게 젠더교육을 실시하여 여성노인의 젠더인식의 변화와 젠더교육의 가능성을 탐색하고자 한다. 이를위해 학습자 중심, 토론중심, 비판적 성찰과 실천 중심의 페미니스트 페다고지 전략에 근거한 독서토론 집단프로그램을 실시하였다. 서울시내 노인복지관에서 독서토론 프로그램을 2019년 5월부터 9월까지 격주로 10회 실시하였고, 이에 여성 노인 60대 1명, 70대 5명이참여하였다. 자료는 프로그램과정기록과 개별면접기록, 현장노트, 참여자의 독서기록장의 4가지 유형으로 수집되었고, 이를 질적 사례연구방법으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과 여성노인들이 가족유지를 위해 가부장주의에서 벗어나 성평등, 세대평등의 가치를 지향하고 있으며, 젠더교육 결과 개별적 주체로서 노년기 삶의 가능성을 탐색하게 되었으며, 페미니스트 페다고지에 기반한 독서토론에 적극적으로참여한다는 것을 확인하였다. 결론적으로 여성노인의 젠더교육은 젠더 인식 제고와 지역사회 참여에 기여한다고 볼 수 있다. 이를바탕으로 여성노인의 의미있는 삶을 위해 젠더교육의 실시와 지역사회의 연령차별, 성차별의 해소를 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to provide gender education for the elderly women, and to explore changes in gender awareness through the education of the elderly women and the possibilities of gender education. To this end, a group of reading discussion programs were conducted based on feminist pedagogy strategies centered on learners, discussion, critical reflection and practice. Reading discussion group program was held 10 times every other week from May to September 2019 at the welfare center for senior citizens in Seoul. The data were collected in four types: program course records, individual interview records, field notes, and participants reading records, which were analyzed by qualitative case study methods. According to the analysis results, the elderly women are moving away from patriarchalism to pursue the value of gender equality and generation equality for family maintenance, and gender education has led to exploring the possibility of life in old age as individual subjects, and actively participates in a group based on feminist pedagogy. In conclusion, gender education of the elderly women can be seen as contributing to the enhancement of gender awareness and community involvement. Based on this, it proposed the implementation of gender education, the elimination of age discrimination and gender discrimination in the community for the meaningful life of female senior citizens.
