첨삭의 표준 문장과 첨삭 조언지 활용 사례

국문 초록

의사소통이 중요한 시대가 되면서 글쓰기 교육에 대한 관심이 늘고 있다. 실습이 강조되는 글쓰기 강좌에서 첨삭지도는 교육의 핵심 요소가 되고 있다. 이 글에서 연구자들은 효율적인 첨삭지도의 방안을 찾고, 첨삭지도의 모형을 모색하고자 하였다. 첨삭지도가 학생들의 글쓰기 능력을 향상시킴을 밝혔다. 글을 논리적으로 조직하는 능력이나 문장 쓰기를 통해 글을 구성하는 영역에는 첨삭의 효과가 높았다. 그러나 맞춤법을 비롯하여 이론이나 규범 영역은 효과가 적은 것으로 결론이 났다. 교수자들이 실제로 행한 첨삭 원고를 분석한 결과 효율이 낮은 영역 중심으로 첨삭지도가 이루어졌음을 발견하였다. 이를 통해 교수자가 첨삭지도를 할 때는 학생의 글에 드러난 오류를 찾아 주는 것에 머무르지 말아야 함을 알게 되었다. 첨삭을 대하는 학생의 태도는 ‘칭찬은 격려로 받아들이고, 오류 지적은 개선을 위한 자양분으로 삼음’이 밝혀졌다. 수강생들의 첨삭 문장 선호도를 분석하여 ‘학생들은 진단과 함께 처방을 원하며, 존대표현을 중요하게 여김’을 알게 되었다. 첨삭 조언지가 표준 첨삭을 실현하고 첨삭 시간을 줄이는 데 기여할 수 있음을 제안하였다. 이를 확장한 첨삭 매뉴얼이 개발된다면, ‘첨삭 모형이 강의의 균등과 운영의 효율 향상에 기여할 수 있을 것’으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

As communication is important in this era, writing education grows interests. In writing courses that emphasize practice, correcting instruction is a key component of education. In this article, researchers tried to look for ways of efficient correcting instruction and to investigate the teaching model. Correcting instruction was revealed to enhance the writing skills of students. The effect of correction was good at the area of ability to write logically organized and composing writing through sentences. However, at the area of the theory and norms including spelling rules, it was less effective. Analysis of the manuscript that was done actually by teachers showed that corrections were made mainly at the area of low efficiency. This means that correction should not be stayed to find errors from students writings. The students attitude toward the corrections were that they accepted praise as encouraging and pointed errors as intellectual nourishment for improvement. Analyzing students preferences of correction sentences revealed that students want not only a diagnosis but also a prescription and they highly regard honorific expressions. We proposed that correction papers can realize the standard correction and contribute to reduce the correction time. If the correcting manuals expanding this concept were developed, that correcting model will be able to contribute to improve equality of lecture and operational efficiency.
