인터넷 뉴스에 보도된 교정보호시설 관련 기사 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 교정보호시설과 관련하여 얼마나 인터넷 뉴스에 노출되었으며 사회적 관심을 받았는지 알아보고자 2019년 4월 16일부터 2019년 6월 19일까지 인터넷 상에서 ‘교정시설’을 키워드로 검색하여 자료를 수집하였다. 이때 교정복지 관련 기사와 중복되지 않은 내용을 중심으로 총 59건의 인터넷 뉴스를 분석대상으로 선정하여 기사내용에 대해 외형적인 보도경향과 내용적인 보도경향으로 나눠 빈도분석을 통한 기사분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 외형적 보도경향의 경우 교정시설 관련 기사가 5월에 가장 많았고, 기사는 뉴스의 형태와 인터넷 신문기사에 의한 정보전달이 대부분이었다. 둘째, 내용적 보도경향인 기사의 주제는 ‘문화․행사’가 가장 많았고, 다음으로 ‘인권․복지’ 순으로 나타났다. 기사 논조는 긍정적인 기사 내용이 많았다. 또한, 기사 내용 중 교정복지를 위한 개선 방안을 제시해 주었다. 이를 근거로 교정관련 법의 정비, 수용자의 특성을 고려한 서비스, 인권 개선, 수용자의 가족과 자녀 그리고 출소예정자의 사회복귀를 위한 서비스 확대, 지역사회 내 자원개발, 교정공무원의 역할과 애로사항에 대한 이해가 요구된다. 따라서 교정시설 관련기사가 모두의 노력으로 보다 교정복지를 실현하기 위한 실질적인 내용이 보도될 수 있도록 관심을 갖고 미래를 대비할 수 있는 교정복지가 실현될 수 있도록 노력해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

To investigate the extent of internet news exposure and social interest related to the correctional facilities, the researchers collected data from the internet on April 16, 2019, and on June 19. At this time, a total of 59 internet news articles were selected for analysis and contents not related to correctional welfare articles, and articles were analyzed through frequency analysis by dividing the article contents into external news report tendency and content news report tendency. The results of this study were as follows. First, articles related to correctional facilities were most common in May, and articles were mostly transmitted by news forms and internet newspaper articles. Secondly, the main topic of the articles was Culture and Event , followed by ‘Human Rights and Welfare’. In addition, I have suggested improvement measures for correctional welfare. Based on this, it is necessary to improve the law related to the correction, services considering the characteristics of the prisoners, improvement of human rights, expansion of service for the return of the prisoner s family and children, resource development in the community and understanding the roles and difficulties of the correctional officers. Therefore, all of us should be interested in report articles about practical correction facilities in order to prepare effectively for the future and making a better correctional welfare society.
