국문 초록

본 논문은 董其昌의 書藝觀을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 그에 대한 평가는 많은 논란이 있지만, 중국 미술사에서 독보적인 위치에 있다. 그의 書藝의 영향력은 강희제 때 최고조에 달했으며 예술가들로부터 많은 찬양을 받았다. 그는 禪宗 南宗의 사고방식을 예술방면에 창조적으로 용용·적용했으며 선종의 이치를 빌려와 以禪喩書로 서예를 설명했다. 董其昌의 書藝觀은 臨摹古人과 熟後能生으로 나눌 수 있다. 董其昌은 법고를 중시했으며 임고는 그의 예술관에서 빠트릴 수 없다. 또한, 그는 熟後能生을 주장했는데 이것은 그의 예술 사상의 종지인 平淡과 일맥상통한다. 董其昌은 임모를 통해 서예의 기교와 법도에 熟해진 다음 법도를 허공에 던지고 任自然의 자세로 진정한 나를 담아내는 예술 경지를 표현하고자 했다. 董其昌의 대표적인 작품에서 살펴보면 그는 晉韻·唐法·宋意을 배우고자 했다. 그의 書藝는 平淡天眞과 古淡蕭散을 추구하며 用墨, 用筆, 章法에 의해 자연스럽게 구현되었다. 董其昌 書藝觀의 연구를 통해 그의 서예관의 함축성을 재인식하게 되고 오늘날 서예 연구에 이론적 뒷받침을 제공해줄 것이다.

영문 초록

This paper focused on analyzing Dong Qi chang(董其昌)’s aesthetic view of calligraphy. He was proficient in Zen and the spirit of Zen was well embodied in the realm of calligraphy. Influence of his calligraphy reached the highest state at the period of Emperor Kang-xi. His arts combine his artistic personality with his special background of the times. I divided the. Dong Qi chang’s aesthetic view of calligraphy into imitative copy in East Asian art and birth and maturity. And take a look at how it was reflected in his representative art works. Dong Qi-chang’s calligraphy went into the Jin and Tang Dynasties, and his calligraphy style is ethereal and his innocence is plain. The quiet, fresh and plain mood of his work is embodied naturally and fully through the ink form. He was still in the pursuit of the ancient artistic cultivation and his outstanding artistic achievements were not only different from other artists’, but also were praised by other artists highly. After studying the aesthetic viewpoint of Dong Qichang’s calligraphy,on the one hand, it helps us to re-recognize the connotation of its aesthetic point of view and improve the aesthetics of calligraphers. On the other hand, it also deepens our understanding of the process of calligraphy learning and provides theoretical support for the study of calligraphy in modern books.
