MAUT-CVM을 활용한 문화예술기관 가치추정에 대한 연구

국문 초록

본 논문의 목적은 MAUT-CVM을 통한 국립현대미술관 서울관의 가치를 측정하는 것이다. 다속성가치평가기법인 MAUT-CVM을 사용하여 미술관의 전시, 보관, 교육, 수집/발굴 등의 4가지 가치에 대해 지불의사액(WTP)을 측정하였다. 본 연구는 예비조사 100가구에 이어 본 조사에서는 전국 1000가구를 대상으로 엄격한 통제하에 설문을 진행하엿다. 연구결과, 국립현대미술관 서울관의 총가치는 연간 1374.54억원으로 나타났는데, 이 중 전시가치는 416억원, 보관가치는 367억원, 교육가치는 323억원, 발굴가치는 268억원으로 나타났다. 이는 2010년 서울관 설립을 위해 조사한 총가치 432억원 보다 높게 측정되었다. 기존논문과 차별화된 점은 지금까지 문화시설에 대한 가치측정에 대한 논문은 단일속성 CVM을 통한 방법론이 주를 이루었으나 본 연구는 다속성에 대한 가치를 측정하였다는 데에 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to measure the value of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul, through MAUT-CVM(Multi-Attribute Utility Theory - Contingent Valuation Method). MAUT-CVM, as a multi-attribute value evaluation technique unlike the single-attribute CVM, was used to measure Willingness-To-Pay(WTP) of households for four attributes of an art museum’s value: exhibition, storage, education, and collection/excavation. Following the preliminary survey of 100 households, this study surveyed 1000 households nationwide. As a result of the study, the total value of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul, is 137 billion won per year, of which the exhibition value is 41.6 billion won, the storage value was 36.7 billion won, the education value is 33.2 billion won, and the excavation value is 26.6 billion won. This was higher than the total value surveyed for the establishment of National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul in 2010, and it can be interpreted that the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul has expanded its value to consumers and potential consumers through exhibition operation and management since its opening.
