영문 초록

The purpose of this study was analyzing how motivation of middle school Taekwondo athletes to participate in sport affects achievement goal orientation and self-management behavior. A total of 213 data were collected from the middle school Taekwondo athletes in Seoul and Gyeonggi excluding 7 data of insincere responses. The collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis using SPSS Ver 23.0 program. The results of this study were as follows. First, the internal motivation had a positive effect on task orientation, and the external motivation had a positive effect on all sub-factors of the goal orientation. Second, internal motivation had a positive effect on the interpersonal, training, and mental management, and external motivation had a positive effect on all sub-factors of self-management behavior, whereas amotivation had a negative effect on mental management. Third, task orientation had a positive effect on all sub-factors of self-management behavior.
