대학생 핵심역량 수준과 대학생 개인 변인의 관계 및 특성

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 한국직업능력개발원의 대학생 핵심역량진단검사(K-CESA) 실시 결과를 통해 대학생의 핵심역량과 대학생 개인 변인의 관계와 특성을 밝힘으로써 교양 교육에 대한 변화 방향을 모색하는 데에 있다. 대학생 핵심역량 진단검사는 자기관리 역량, 대인관계능력, 자원정보 및 기술의 활용능력, 글로벌역량, 의사소통역량, 그리고 종합적 사고역량의 6개 영역으로 구성되었으며, 충북소재 사립 4년제 A대학 재학생 125명을 대상으로 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 조사된 핵심역량 수준은 대인관계역량이 가장 높았고, 그 다음 자기관리, 종합적 사고, 글로벌 역량, 의사소통역량 순이었으며, 자원정보기술활용능력이 상대적으로 가장 낮았다. 둘째, 고학년이거나 공학계열 학생인 경우에 일부 인지적 영역의 핵심역량의 수준이 상대적으로 높았다. 성별로는 대인관계역량에 대해서만 남학생이 여학생보다 높은 수준을 보였다. 셋째, 대학생 핵심역량 수준의 특성을 이해하기 위해 군집분석을 실시한 결과 네 가지 군집이 발견되었는데 ‘비인지 역량 주도의 핵심역량 우수’, ‘전반적 핵심역량 저조’, ‘인지 역량 대 비인지 역량 불균형’, 그리고 ‘그래도 비인지 역량은 우수’의 유형으로 나타났다. 넷째, 대학생 핵심역량 수준이 우수한 학생들의 특성을 이해하기 위한 대응일치 분석 결과 자기관리역량-대인관계역량, 종합적 사고력-자원정보기술활용-의사소통역량, 그리고 글로벌역량 등 세 개의 범주로 구별되는 핵심역량 보유 특성의 유사성을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationships and characteristics between college students’ essential skills and students’ individual related variables for directions toward the better general education in university. K-CESA(Korea Collegiate Essential Skills Assessment) which is consisted of six different sub areas such as ‘self- management skill’, ‘interpersonal relationship skill’, ‘global skill’, ‘communication skill’, ‘utilization of information resources and technology skill’ and ‘comprehensive thinking skill’ was used, and 125 students from ‘A’ university, the province of Chungbuk participated in this study. The results of analyses are as follows;First, it showed that interpersonal relationship skill was found to be the highest, the rest of skills were ordered by high level as self-management skill-comprehensive thinking skill-global skill- communication skill. And utilization of information resources and technology skill was found to be very low. Second, Junior and senior students, and/or engineering students had higher level of the six essential skills level mainly with some cognitive area. And male students earned higher level than female with statistical significance only in the interpersonal relationship skill. Third, the results of cluster analysis to understand overall characteristics of essential skills level revealed 4 different types showing ‘non-cognitive function oriented superior group’, ‘overall low-level skill group’, ‘imbalance between cognitive and non-cognitive skill’, ‘only excellence at non-cognitive skill and that’s all’. Fourth, the results of correspondence analysis to understand superior participants’ characteristics of essential skills level identified three affinity categories such as ‘self-management skill-interpersonal relationship skill’, ‘comprehensive thinking skill-utilization of information resources and technology skill-communication skill’, and ‘global skill’.
