예체능 계열 글쓰기 교육 방안 연구

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 예·체능 계열의 글쓰기 교육의 구체적인 방안을 마련하고 학과적 특성에 부합되는 교과 내용을 제시하고자 하는 것이다. 계열별 글쓰기에서 학과의 독립적인 특성은 실용적 글쓰기 를 통해 가능해진다. 대부분 실용적 글쓰기 는 전공의 특수성과 사회 진출 시 소요되는 목적을 갖고 있다. 기존의 미술 계열 글쓰기는 주로 창의력 증진이라는 교과 목표에 맞춰지거나, 미술 감상 등으로 한정되었다. 이는 미술 작품 감상이창의성과 연관된다는 차원에서 의미가 있는 수업 방법이지만, 글쓰기 수업이라는 본질적 교과목표를 희석시켰다. 따라서 의사소통 중심의 글쓰기 수업과 미술계열의 전공 특성을 통섭하는 수업 목표로 설득적 글쓰기와 말하기 의 수업 내용을 모색해보았다. 이는 글쓰기의 기본 능력을 함양하는 것이 계열별 글쓰기 교과목표의 가장 기본적이고 중요한 과정임을 강조하기 위해 고안된 방안이다. 이를 토대로 학생들에게 설득적 글쓰기 개념, 말하기 등을 인지시키고 디자인의 상품성을 독자에게 설득하는 과정의 중요성을 숙지시켜 전공 학문과의 연계성을 모색하고자 했다. 실용적 글쓰기의 실습 차원에서 설득적 글쓰기와 말하기는 두 차례에 걸쳐 진행되었다. 읽기, 쓰기, 말하기의 종합적인 차원을 통해 설득의 과정을 연습하게 했다. 이를 토대로 네 차례에 걸쳐 피드백을 진행했고 최종 원고가 완성되는 과정을 경험하면서 과정 중심의 글쓰기를 인지시켰다. 산업디자인 학생의 경우 글쓰기 수업에 익숙하지 않으며 글쓰기의 기본적인 요건에 대한 이해가 부족했다. 따라서 글쓰기의 기본 요소들에 대한 숙지가 필수적이었다. 계열별 글쓰기 특성에 맞는 본래의 교과 목표도 중요하지만, 글쓰기의 기본 자질들에 대한 학습이 선행되는 것은 글쓰기 수업의 근본적인 목적이라는 점에서 더욱 중요하다. 특히 산업디자인학과의 경우 디자인의 상품성을 독자에게 설득하는 과정은 필수적이었다. 따라서 설득의 과정을 인지하는 과정은 디자인학과의 실용적 글쓰기 교육 방안의 중요한 단초를 마련해 줄 것이다. 더 나아가 전공간의 상관관계를 중시하고, 종합적 사고와 논리적 학습능력을 지향하는 계열별 글쓰기의 교과 목표에 부합하는 사례를 마련해 줄 것이다.

영문 초록

In major related writing, the independent characteristic of a specific department becomes viable through practical writing. The majority of practical writing possesses the purpose it is required for advancing into society and the distinct characteristic of a major. Conventionally, arts major related writing had its limitation as it focused primarily on the enhancement of creativity based on its curricular objective or on art observation. Observing and appreciating already existing work of art is meaningful in its own aspect considering that it can be linked to creativity, but it also gave way to the problem that it diluted the quintessence of a writing lecture which was clearly the course objective. Thus, there was an attempt to seek a lecture aimed at integrating a writing class with an art major class focused on persuasive writing and speaking. This measure was designed to emphasize that cultivating basic writing skills is the very core of the curricular objective of writing in all academic departments. Based on this, we have attempted to help our students perceive the concept of persuasive writing, speaking and acquaint them the importance of persuading the marketability of design to the reader and by doing so seeking a correlation with their majors. With regards to practical writing, two lectures have been carried out: persuasive writing and speaking. In the first lecture we had our students do rhetorical writing as a part of the basic form of persuasion. In the second lecture, we carried out practical drills through design presentation as a part of learning about persuasive speaking. The more feedback the students received the more they understood the structure of rhetorical writing as well as presented logical evidence to their statement thereby trying to convey a clear message. Similarly in presentations, the best they managed in the beginning was to explain their design and emphasize the virtue of their works, whereas after a number of feedbacks, they began to realize the persuasiveness required for a design concept and to emphasize the originality and ingenuity to create a market value of their works. As a conclusion they began to understand through individual presentations that the purpose of launching a design was itself a process of persuasion, and to do so they needed grounds to convince others of the advantages of their design. This process has paved way to their enlightenment.
