대학 통일교육 현황과 사례

국문 초록

최근 대학생을 포함한 20대 젊은이들의 통일의식조사 결과는 통일에 대한 무관심 증대와 회의적 시각의 확산으로 나타나고 있다. 현재 대학생들을 포함한 20대의 경우 초·중·고 시기에도 교육과정 중 통일교육을 받아본 경험이 적었고 대학의 통일교육현황을 살펴 본 결과 대학생들이 통일에 대하여 관심을 가질 수 있는 구조가 마련되어 있지 않았다. 이에 본 연구에서는 통일준비를 위해서는 초중고 학생들은 물론 대학생들의 통일의식이 향후 통일과정에 가장 중요하다는데 공감하고 대학 통일교육의 현황을 파악하였다. 또한 숭실대학교의 통일교육 사례연구를 바탕으로 향후 통일교육의 바람직한 방향에 대해 제시하고자 하였다. 기존 대학 내 통일교육 현황을 살펴본 결과 전공생 중심의 이론교육이 진행되는 제한적 교육이 실시되고 있음을 확인하였다. 이를 구조적으로 개선하기 위해서는 ① 대학생들의 통일교육 기회와 대상이 확대 ② 통일교육 내용의 다양화 ③ 대상에 맞는 통일교육 방법을 모색해야 한다. 숭실대학교는 교양필수 교과목인 <한반도 평화와 통일>를 매학기 지속적으로 개편하여 수업 내용과 방법의 다양화를 시도한 결과 숭실대학교 학생들의 통일에 대한 태도 변화를 확인 할 수 있었다. 대학생 통일의식을 변화시키기 위해서는 대학 내의 통일교육 대상 확대, 통일교육 내용의 다변화, 통일교육 형식의 다양화 등 새로운 시도가 필요하며 이를 위해서는 상당한 인력과 비용이 소요된다. 때문에 미래 통일시대 주역인 대학생의 통일의식 고취와 대학생 스스로 통일에 대한 긍정적인 미래를 준비하게 하기 위해서는 통일교육을 하는 대학은 물론 통일교육원을 포함한 정부의 지속적인 관심과 지원이 절실히 요구된다고 하겠다.

영문 초록

Uniform Survey results of recent 20 young people (including college students) may appear indifferent to the growth and spread of doubts about unification. Currently 20s of the curriculum of elementary, middle, and high schools receive less experience in training for unification. Therefore, in this study, a small middle and high students for unification preparation, of course, college students of unity consciousness is sympathy to be the most important in the future of a unified process, it was to understand the current state of the university unification education. In addition, based on the case study of Soongsil school unification education, I would like to introduce the way of the future of a unified education. The result of the unification education at university students into the university did not offer a structure that may be of interest with respect to unification. In order to improve this, structurally ① Unification education expands opportunities and target ② diversification of the Unification curriculum ③ unification education must seek new ways. Soongsil was able to confirm the change of attitude to the unification of the results Soongsil students attempted to diversify teaching content and how to reform the education courses required of continuously each semester. In order to change the university Unification consciousness requires a new approach, such as Unification Audience expansion, diversification of the Unification educational content, format diversification of unification education in universities and expensive and takes considerable force for this purpose. Since unification of the university education, as well as continued interest and support of the government it is urgently required.
