영문 초록

This study analyzes the consistency between the evaluation results on university lecture conducted at mid-of-semester and end-of-semester by using actual evaluation data. The mid-of-semester evaluation is different with the end-of-semester evaluation in that the former consists of subjective questions asking for opinions about the qualitative aspects of lectures while the latter consists of quantitative multiple-choice questions. To check the consistency, this study calculates the positive rates of the mid-of-semester lecture evaluation through text sensitivity analysis by assigning the meaning of positive/negative to each vocabulary appeared in the evaluation. By using IV (instrumental variable) method, this study shows that there is a statistically significant relationship between the positive rate of the mid-term evaluation and the end-of-semester evaluation score, which suggests that there is consistency between the two kinds of lecture evaluations.
