The Retrospective Analysis of the Results of Kyeongin Multimodal Treatments for Non-Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer

영문 초록

To find out the potential of KMT (Kyeongin multimodal treatments), which is treated with herb medicine, acupuncture, etc, as a new treatment option for bladder cancer, a statistical analysis was done by examining the medical records of NMIBC (non-muscle invasive bladder cancer) patients. The subjects of this study were 42 NMIBC patients who had treated with KMT for recurrence inhibition. For the analysis, the medical records such as surgery count, T-stage, number of the tumor, etc were examined. Based on these data, the 1-year recurrence rate for each risk group of the EAU guidelines and that of the patients who were treated with KMT have comparatively analyzed. Also, the recurrence rate and recurrence-free period have analyzed by before and after of KMT. The 1-year recurrence rate of the high-risk group was 33% in KMT, while averaged 61% in the EAU guidelines, which was statistically significant (p=0.049). In 22 patients who had recurrence history before KMT, 2-years recurrence rate before and after KMT was 90.0% and 27.3%, respectively (p=0.001). The recurrence-free period of 9 patients who had recurrence history both before and after KMT was also significantly different by t-test. (p=0.020). These results allow us to ratiocinate the potential of KMT for the recurrence inhibition in NMIBC.
