조선후기 도성도의 특성에 따른 유형 분류

국문 초록

본문에서는 도성도 중 주제도나 특수도, 그리고 축척을 이용한 일제강점기 근대 경성도를 제외하고, 도성을 단독으로 그린 현전 60여종의 유형별 기준작을 중심으로 도성도를 분류하고 그 특징을 정리하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 첫째, 왕도를 구현하기 위한 한양 궁성을 중심으로 묘사한 한양 왕성도 계열, 둘째, 군사적 목적으로 제작된 『御製守城綸音』의 <都城三軍門分界之圖>와 《해동지도》의 <京都五部 北漢山城附> 계열, 셋째, 성저십리를 중심으로 한성부의 도시 공간 확대를 잘 반영한 <四山禁標圖> 계열, 넷째, 한강의 수로가 자세히 그려져 경강의 상업 유통발달을 한눈에 보여주는 《조선강역총도》의 <自都城至三江圖> 계열, 다섯째, 김정호가 제작한 한성 오부 행정구역 중심의 도성전도 등으로 분류하였다. 이를 통해 조선시대 도성도의 다양한 제작 목적을 추론하고, 그 유형별 계보를 분석함으로써 조선시대 도성에 대한 특성을 규명할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This paper is focused on the classification of Seoul maps in the late Joseon Dynasty, based on the typological analysis. Seoul maps affiliated with Doseongdo of Joseongangyeok Chongdo put emphasis on the unique position in the construction of the palaces that affected under the authority of a sage King. The map of Seoul with defense system of capital city inserted into the Suseong Yuneum by King Yeongjo in 1751 is founded on the map, Hong Gyehee as the Minister of War submitted to the King. This map was a major influence on the pictorial maps of Seoul by landscape style. The Seoul map of Haedong Jido was added administrative districts and Bukhan Sanseong Fortress as military defense system. This map had a great influence on other military maps as well in the 19th century. The map marked boundary district around the four mountains of capital city is a woodblock print in 1765. This map played no small part in making Seoul maps into the maps of counties and prefectures on a nationwide scale. The map of Han river and castle town into Joseongangyeok Chongdo represents a quantum leap in trade and market expansion around Han river in the early 18th century. In addition, the maps of capital city by Kim Jeongho is characterized as depicting Sangrimwon garden and Hamchunwon garden, where is a crown forests to harvest fruits and to use fengshui, in a nearby palaces.
