Polygraph검사와 GSR(Galvanic Skin Response)평가 정확성에 대한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 Polygraph검사 시 말초신경계의 피부 감각을 측정하는 데 중요한 파라미터(변수)로 사는데 중요한 비중을 차지하고 있다는 것을 검증하고, 사건과 관련한 PG검사 시 손가락에 부착하는 GSR의 패치를 손바닥에 붙였을 때 효과성에 대해 검증하고자 하였다. 전기피부반응인 GSR은 피부전기반응(Electrodermal Response, EDR)과 피부전기활동(Electrodermal Activity, EDA)로 혼용하여 사용되어지며, 사람의 감정에 변화가 생기면 피부전기저항이 감소하는데 손에 땀이 나기 1초 전에 이미 GSR반응이 나타난다고 한다. Polygraph검사에서 검사관의 언어 자극에 의하여 피검사자의 시상을 통해서 대뇌피질에 통하여 전달되면 대뇌피질에서 표상되어 다시 뇌의 운동영역에서 자극에 대한 반응이 척수를 통해서 말초신경계로 전달되어 반응하게 되는데 이것은 피부반응센서를 이용하여 측정할 수 있다. 만약 피검사자가 속이려는 의도가 있을 때에는 대뇌피질에 표상(매핑)되어 인지부조화 현상으로 비정상적인 생리 반응이 표출되어 GSR센서를 통하여 검사 챠트에 기록되어 진다. 연구결과로는 GSR채널을 이용한 검사방법이 자극에 대한 반응을 판단하는데 중요한 비중을 차지하고 있다는 것을 다시 한 번 검증하였다. 또한 직업상 요리사나 염색하는 사람 등 화학물질 사용으로 인해 GSR센서 반응이 잘 나타나지 않은 사람들에 대하여 손가락이 아닌 손바닥에 붙여서 측정하였는데 피검사자의 선택 답변에 따른 자극 반응 또한 정확하게 나타났다. GSR반응 검사방법이 연구로 통해 다시 한 번 반응에 대한 정확한 평가가 이루어질 수 있다는 것을 확인하였고, Polygraph검사에서 GSR센서를 이용한 검사방법이 더욱 활발하게 연구가 진행되기를 바란다.

영문 초록

As long as scientists measure and comprehend objectively, the mechanistic structure that creates certain properties, including the properties of consciousness, need not be similar to those that arise therefrom. For example, explosions are not like explosives(Gerald Edelman, 2004). The polygraph device structure generally consists of a part measuring the respiration reaction, a part measuring the skin current resistance, a part measuring blood pressure and pulse, and a power device recording the above three on the physiological reaction chart. In physiology, stimulation is a change sensed in an internal or external environment. Stimuli are sensed by sensory receptors and the body reacts to stimuli. Internal stimuli can affect the homeostatic system and external stimuli can cause reactions throughout the body, such as fighting or escape reactions. Electrodermal phenomenon has been associated with psychological factors since the 1880s, and dermal electricity is the most commonly used biological signal in modern psychophysiology. Skin electrical phenomena are widely used because of the simplicity of measurement and the magnitude of the response, which are correlated with the strength of the stimulus and psychological significance. In existing polygraph tests, the electrodermal response (EDR) of all signals collected and analyzed during psychophysiological detection of deception (PDD) or polygraph test is an important location. Despite the firmness and practical simplicity of EDR (electrical skin response), psychophysiological mechanisms are complex and imperfectly understood (Lykken & Venables, 1971). Modern science is a breakthrough in molecular biology, neuroscience and brain science And the breadth of understanding is widening.
