국문 초록

고령자의 높은 낙상률은 고령자 개인뿐만 아니라 가족 삶의 질도 저하시키고, 장기적인 사회적 비용도 증가시키므로 중요하게 논의되어야 한다. 낙상사고는 다양한 위험요인의 복잡한 관계 속에서 발생하기 때문에 이를 체계적으로 파악하고 적용할 수 있는 디자인연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 우선적으로 고령자의 낙상에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 내적 위험요인을 중심으로 전체적인 맥락에서 이해하고, 적극적으로 해결하기 위한 디자인가이드라인 개발을 목적으로 하였다. 연구방법은 먼저, 선행연구를 통해 고령자의 낙상 내적 위험요인을 추출하고, 이와 관련된 고령자의 능력특성을 분류하고 체계화하였다. 이를 기반으로 문헌연구를 통해 내적 낙상위험요인에 대한 안전․안심디자인가이드라인을 제시하였다. 본 연구결과는 낙상사고 위험요인과 고령자의 능력특성과의 연관관계 및 한계를 체계적으로 설명하고 예측하기 위한 기본개념을 제공함으로써, 디자인 시 구체적이고 다양한 해결방안 모색이 가능해질 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

Elderly people s high ratio of falls should be seriously discussed, since it reduces the life quality of not only them but also their families, while increasing long-term social costs. Fall accidents usually occur in the complex relations of various risk factors, so it is necessary to systematically understand them and examine designs that are able to be applied to them. The purpose of this study was to primarily understand internal risk factors which have most significant effects on elderly falls in the whole context and develop design guidelines for actively resolving them. This study initially abstracted internal risk factors of elderly falls through the preliminary study and divided and systematized relevant ability characteristics of the elderly. Then, it suggested a safety․security design guideline for internal risk factors of falls through a literature review. The results of this study are expected to be used to search for specific and various solutions in designing, by providing fundamental concepts based on which it is possible to systematically explain and predict the associations between risk factors of fall accidents and elderly ability characteristics and some limits.
