CiteSpace에 기반한 다중모드 사회 기호학(1999-2019)의 가시화 분석

국문 초록

다중모드 사회 기호학은 텍스트 언어학계에서 오랫동안 관심을 가지고 연구해 온 이슈로서 사회 기호학적 시각으로 진행되는 다중 모드 연구를 말하는 것이다. 본문은 Web of Science 데이터 베이스의 1999년부터 2019년까지의 문헌 빅데이터를 기초로 하고 권위 있는 계량도구 CiteSpace의 가시화 기능을 응용하여 다중모드 사회 기호학의 과거와 현재에 대해 연구하였다. 주제, 키워드 그래프, 문헌 피인용 지수 그래프, 저자 피인용 지수 그래프, 정기 간행물 피인용 지수 그래프 및 발표저자와 국가분포 그래프로부터 글로벌 다중모드 사회 기호학 연구의 핵심과 주제, 중요 문헌과 저자, 핵심 정기 간행물, 대표 학자 및 국가분포에 대해 분석하였다. 다중모드 사회 기호학에 대한 글로벌 연구의 현황에 대하여 전반적인 관찰이 되었다. 연구 결과, 주제와 키워드는 2007년 이후로부터 폭발적으로 증가하였고 점차 응용식 연구의 영역으로 확대되었다. 그 중에서 social semiotics(사회 기호학)은 학계의 연구 핵심인 동시에 최신 주제이기도 하다. 문헌 피인용 지수에 있어서 Kress, G. VanLeeuwen, T. Reading Images: The Grammer of Visual의 시각 문법은 다중모드 사회 기호학 연구의 기초적 이론으로서 학문적으로 선구적 의의를 지니고 있다. 저자 피인용 지수에서 전 세계적으로 리더 역할을 한 학자로는 van Leeuwen T, Lemke J, O’Halloran K 및 Goodwin C 등이 있다. 정기 간행물 피인용 지수에서Visual Communication, Semiotica, Language social semiotic, Intro functional grammar, J pragmatics및Intro social semiotic 는 글로벌 다중모드 사회 기호학 연구의 중요한 참고문헌이면서 동시에 학문적 기초 이론이 되었다. 대표학자 및 국가분포에 있어서 호주, 영국, 덴마크, 미국, 핀란드 의 문헌 발표량 및 연구학자는 전 세계적으로 선두 그룹을 형성한다. 본문에서는 이상의 5가지 측면으로 나누어 다중모드 사회 기호학에 대해 과학적인 통계 및 분석을 진행하여 이후에 전개 될 과학적이고 발전적인 연구에 의미 있고 가치 있는 자료를 제공하고자 한다.

영문 초록

Multimodal Social semiotics has been a hot topic in the field of discourse research for a long time, which refers to multimodal research from the perspective of social semiotics. Based on big data of literature in the database of Web of Science from 1999 to 2019, visualized function of an authoritative measuring tool CiteSpace is utilized to investigate the past and present of multimodal semiotics. From the aspects of theme, keyword map, literature co-citation map, author co-citation map, periodical co-citation map and author and country distribution map, hot topics and themes, important literature and authors, periodicals and representative scholar and country distribution of global multimodal semiotics research are analyzed, which intuitively demonstrates the knowledge context of global multimodal semiotics research. It is found that themes and keywords have an explosive growth after 2007 and gradually expands to the field of applied research, among which, social semiotics is both a research hot issue and frontier theme. In terms of literature co-citation, visual grammar in Kress, G. VanLeeuwen, T. Reading Images: The Grammar of Visual lays a foundation of multimodal semiotics research, which is of groundbreaking significance. With regard to author co-citation, international leading scholars are van Leeuwen T, Lemke J, O’Halloran K and Goodwin C, etc. For periodical co-citation, Visual Communication, Semiotica, Language social semiotic, Intro functional grammar, J pragmatics and Intro social semiotic are important literature sources and bases for global multimodal semiotics research. In terms of representative scholar and country distribution, the number of published papers and research scholarship in AUSTRALIA, ENGLAND, DENMARK, USA and FINLAND rank among the top in the world. Through scientific statistics and analysis of multimodal semiotics from the above five aspects, it is expected that this research can provide certain reference for future research on multimodal semiotics.
