분단된 한반도를 위한 기독교 민족역사교육의 문제

국문 초록

이 논문은 한일강제합병 100주년, 6·25 60주년이란 역사적 요구에 따라 한국 기독교교육의 현재와 미래를 성찰해 민족적 슬픔이요 불행인 분단극복을 위해 기독교교육이 어떻게 공헌할 것인가를 고찰한다. 기독교교육이 한반도 내의 남한과 북한, 보수와 진보 간의 반목과 불신, 증오를 넘어서는 화해와 용서, 상호이해와 일치를 추구하는 새로운 역사를 위해 어떻게 노력해야만할 것인가 고찰하고 분단된 한반도의 기독교 내부의 배타성과 혼란한 역사인식에도 문제가 있다는 것을 지적하여 새로운 평화교육 패러다임을 제안한다. 한반도의 갈등과 분쟁을 화해와 일치, 평화정착과 통일이 성공적으로 이루어지는데 이바지할 수 있는 대안적 기독교 평화교육의 모델을 발전시킨다면, 이는 전 세계 여러 분쟁지역에 평화적 해결을 도울 수도 있을 것이라고 확신하는 바이다. 평화를 신앙적으로 실천하는 것을 가르쳐야 하는 기독교교육학 의 특별한 사명과 의무라고 생각하나 이를 위해 기독교교육의 한반도의 평화정착을 저해하는 사회구조요인, 기독교교육 구조요인과 기독교교육 내용을 새롭게 하는 패러다임 전환 작업의 필요성과 그 역사적 과제들을 고찰해 남북 문제에 대한 역사적 상황을 이해하는 방법으로 탈이념적 민족역사교육을 제시한다. 60년 넘게 휴전상태로 지구상 최후의 분단국으로 존재하고 있는 한반도에서 기독교교육의 사명과 교육적 책무성은 아무리 강조해도 부족하다. 한민족의 역사 속에서 일하시는 하나님을 교육의 핵심으로 하는 교육이 필요하다. 그러나 지금까지는 기독교교육은 한반도 역사자료를 미국이나 이스라엘의 역사적 사실보다 그 중요성을 약하게 취급하는 경향이 있었으며, 이는 심층심리학적인 민족열등감이 작용하지 아니하였는가 질문한다. 유태인의 역사 속에서 하나님께서 일하신다는 것에 대해서는 의심할 바 없이 수용하고 곧 하나님의 일하시는 역사라고 하는 전제에 대해서 거의 무조건적으로 수용하는 심리를 이를 분석, 재구성해서 보다 더 긍정적인 한국적 기독교교육을 과제로 제시한다.

영문 초록

This paper is to review and reflect the present and the future of the Christian Education in Korea on the bases of the changing history, to overcome the division of Korea, which was the sorrows of the people. When one can develop the new paradigm for the alternative Christian education for peace and reunification in Korea, then, author has the conviction and hope that one can help the people suffering under the hegemonic struggles for the profit maximizations, war mongering, struggles under the super powers. The purpose of the paper is to review the task in the history to renew the contents of the Christian education, structural reasons in the Christian education, social structural causes of the obstacles for peace education in Korea. It is important to try carefully to study the peace community, transcending ideologies on the history of Korea, in order to understand the social problems, and historical situations and the churches on the problems of South and the North. The core of the Korean Christian education is the God who works in the history of Korean people. But it is true to say that the importance has not been recognized properly, and rather Christian education people look down on the history of Korea. It may be the reason because of the in-depth inferiority complexes of the Koreans. People tend to accept the things western is the place where God works. And people had the understanding that they unconditionally accept the western secular history is the place where God works. The alternative Christian education is to debunk, to deconstruct, to revise and to reconstruct the Christian education.
