국문 초록

  "설교는 "복음"을 선포한다. 동시에 그 설교는 "설교자 자신의" 복음을 선포한다." 설교자 자신의 복음에 대한 이해를 결정하는 여러 요인 가운데 본 논문은 설교자가 지닌 신학에 주목하였다. 이 점을 전제로 신학의 패러다임과 설교의 관계에 대하여 논의하였다. 본 논문은 신학의 패러다임을 전근대적 보수주의 신학, 근대적 자유주의 신학, 포스트모던 진보주의 신학으로 나누어 각각의 신학이 지닌 성격과 내용을 검토하였다. 그리고 그 신학적 특징이 설교에 어떻게 반영되는지 살펴보았다.
  물론 설교자가 특정한 신학의 패러다임에 매어 있는 경우는 그렇게 많지 않다. 그러나 설교자가 설교를 할 경우 어찌되었든 그가 배우고 익히고 받아들인 신학의 어떤 측면이 설교에 반영되는 것은 사실이다. 그 점을 주목하는 본 논문은 설교자가 전하는 설교의 특징과 내용이 어떤 신학의 패러다임을 반영하고 있는지 보여줄 수 있기를 기대하면서 작성되었다. 오늘의 회중은 전근대, 현대, 탈현대의 관점과 세계관을 모두 호흡하면서 살아가는 것이 보통이다. 그러므로 오늘의 설교자는 다양한 신학의 관점을 적절하게 활용하여 복음을 선포할 수 있는 능력을 갖추어야 한다.

영문 초록

  Theology and Preaching are closely interrelated. "Sermons proclaim the Gospel, but they proclaim gospel of the preacher"s own." Based this premise, this study classified paradigm of theology into pre-modern conservative theology, modern liberal theology, and postmodern radical theology. Then we identified and examined the interrelations between these paradigms of theology and preaching.
  We can summarize this study as follow:
  1. A preacher must continuously study to find the essence of "gospels for the Age" and "gospels for the congregation", based upon correct understanding of "the Gospel".
  2. A preacher must maintain the perspective of an air of detachment. Preachers need to recognize the paradoxical relation between Christ and culture.
  3. A preacher must approach his or her congregation by introducing God he or she has experienced in his or her life. Preachers need to help the congregation experience the power of life and spiritual power in the Gospel.
  4. A preacher must deliver stories, images of the new world, new self, and new future the messages of the Gospel present to people.
  5. A preacher must recognize the partisan character of truth, and must take part in the activity of liberation. Preachers must been keen to attend the isolated and the weak than man and woman in the mainstream.
  Preachers are bound to deliver the Gospel to people with mixed world views of pre-modern, modern, and postmodern thoughts. Thus, it is required of a preacher to proclaim his or her sermons authoritatively, communicatively, and imaginatively from time to time. It cannot be argued that sermons that adhere to only one paradigm of theology are absolutely right and effective.
