국문 초록

  오늘날 많은 신자들이 죽은 자의 부활에 대하여 적어도 4가지의 오해를 하고 있다.
  첫째, 죽은 자는 역사의 마지막 날에 비로소 부활한다는 오해이다. 그러나 성경에 의하면 신자는 역사의 마지막 날이 아니라 죽을 때 부활할 수 있다. 부활을 위하여 역사의 종말까지 기다리지 않아도 되는 신실한 신자가 있다.
  둘째, 신자가 죽으면 몸 없이 영혼만 하늘나라에 간다고 하는 오해이다. 그러나 몸 없는 영혼만의 실존은 성경적인 가르침이 아니다. 영혼만이 아니라 전인으로서의 부활체로 하나님 앞에 서게 된다.
  셋째, 현세의 몸으로 부활할 것이라는 오해이다. 그러나 부활체는 원칙적으로 현세의 몸과 물질적 연관성이 없다. 성경은 현세의 몸이 장차 부활체로 변하는 것이 아니라 우리의 부활체가 하늘에 예비되어 있다고 증거한다.
  넷째, 죽은 자는 예수님처럼 현세의 몸으로 부활하게 될 것이라는 오해이다. 그러나 부활의 모델은 오히려 예수님의 승천에 있다. 그것이 의미하는 것은 죽은 자의 부활이 이 세상 육신의 눈에는 보이지 않는 형태라는 것이다.

영문 초록

  These days a lot of Christians have at least 4 kinds of misunderstandings about the resurrection of the dead.
  First, they misunderstand that the dead will be resurrected on the last day of history. However, according to the Scriptures, a Christian can be resurrected at the time of his death. There are sincere believers who need not wait until the end of history for their resurrection.
  Second, they misunderstand that the dead enter the Kingdom of Heaven as souls without bodies. But the thought that one will exist only as a soul without a body is not the teaching of the Scriptures. A man will stand before God not only as a soul but also as a body, that is, as a whole man.
  Third, they misunderstand that the dead will be resurrected with their present bodies. In principle, however, the resurrection body has nothing to do with the present body. There is no material relation between the two bodies. The resurrection body will be created by God in heaven.
  Fourth, they misunderstand that the dead will be resurrected like Jesus Christ who rose in his present body. But rather, the model for the resurrection of believers is the Ascension of Jesus. This means that the resurrection body is something which will not be seen by the people of this world until the end of history.
