泉谷 宋象賢의 한시 연구

국문 초록

이 논문은 임진왜란 당시 東萊府使로서 왜적에 맞서 싸우다 의롭게 순절한 節士이자 忠臣인 泉谷 宋象賢(1551~1592)이 남긴 한시를 전체적으로 조망하기 위해 쓰였다. 현재까지 남아 있는 송상현의 한시 28수를 세 항목으로 분류하여 살펴보았다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 송상현이 15세에 창작한 두 편의 작품에서는, 결연한 의기와 젊은 혈기가 드러나 있는 동시에 자신을 새롭게 설계하고자 감상적인 정조에서 벗어나려 한 경향이 보임을 확인하였다. 둘째, 26세에 문과에 급제한 이후 41세에 동래부사가 되기 전까지 지은 대다수의 작품은 객수, 향수, 짙은 외로움과 그리움이라는 애상적인 정조가 주를 이루고 있음을 살펴보았다. 이것은 외직을 떠도는 현실적인 상황과 웅지를 펼치지 못하는 내적 심리에 기반하고 있다고 보았다. 셋째, 質正官 시절에 지은 4편의 작품은 모두 중국을 배경으로 하고 있는데, 그 중의 2편에서 用舍 行藏의 유가적 출처관을 보이고 있음을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 송상현의 한시에 보이는 學唐의 흔적을 살펴보았다. 그는 이백, 두보와 같은 唐나라 시인의 영향을 받았으며, 더러 소식의 영향을 받은 흔적도 확인할 수 있었다. 특히 두보를 적극적으로 수용한 시인으로 파악하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of Chinese poems left by Cheongok Song Sanghyeon (1551~1592), a man of integrity and loyalty who fought against the Japanese invaders during the Imjin War while serving as the Dongnae Magistrate and died in defense of his loyalty. The 28 pieces of Chinese poems by Song Sanghyeon remaining so far were grouped into three categories for close analysis. First, in two of his works written at the age of 15, it was found that Song Sanghyeon tends to deviate from sentimental emotions to redesign himself and concurrently reveals his grand ambition and aspiration, resolute spirit and youthful vigor. Second, most of the Chinese poems he wrote after passing the civil service state examination at the age of 26 and before his appointment as Dongnae Magistrate at the age of 41 mainly express melancholy emotions of longing, profound loneliness, nostalgia and troubles of being away from home. It was judged that such sentiments were based on his troubled psychological state under the realistic situation of wandering aimlessly from one local government post to another unable to demonstrate his noble aspiration. Third, it was found that all four pieces written when Song Sanghyeon was working as a Jiljeonggwan (質正官) incorporate China as the background and that two of them show the Confucian vision of conduct of life, Yongsahaengjang (用舍行藏). Lastly, the traces of learning Tang reflected in Song Sanghyeon’s Chinese poems were examined. It can be argued that his works show the tendency of Tang poetry because a lot of them mainly describe ‘the excited emotions of the poet’ which is one of the characteristics of Tang poetry. In addition, it was found that Song was influenced by Tang Dynasty poets such as Li Bai and Du Fu and that his works sometimes show traces of influence from Su Shi. Importantly, Song Sanghyeon was a poet who positively adopted Du Fu.
