淸官의 문학 속 서사변천과 현대적 수용 고찰 * ― 三言 역사인물 包拯과 況鍾을 중심으로

국문 초록

중국을 대표하는 淸官으로 宋人 包拯, 明人 況鍾과 海瑞는 긴 세월동안 인구에 회자되면서 단순히 역사인물에만 머물지 않고 문학 속 허구의 인물로, 그리고 현대의 다양한 문화콘 텐츠 속 창작의 소재가 되며 지금에 이르렀다. 본고는 ‘三言’ 역사인물의 문학 속 서사변천과 현대 문화콘텐츠로의 수용 양상에 대한 고찰이라는 대주제의 일환으로써, 이들 역사인물 중 포증과 황종을 ‘淸官’이라는 공통된 주제 범위로 묶어 고찰하였다. 이를 위해 필자의 연구 텍스트이자 역사인물이 허구화 되어온 과정의 핵심에 자리한 소설 ‘삼언’을 비교⋅분석의 중심에 두고, 포증과 황종이 문학 속 인물로 변모해오기까지 있었던 諸 문헌들 간의 상관관계를 살펴봄으로써 두 인물의 서사문학 속유입과정을 살펴보았다. 현대에 이르러 영화⋅드라마⋅연극과 같은 각종 대중매체로 거듭난 청관관련 문화콘텐츠는 청관의 역사적 가치와 문학적 리얼리티는 물론, 오늘날 대중의 호기심을 충족시킬 수 있는 오락성까지 융합된 또 다른 문화 현상으로까지 나아가고 있다. 특히 청관이라는 재창작과 변형이 용이하지 않은 경직된 인물상과, 善과 惡, 淸과 濁과 같은 단순 구도가 내재하고 있는 소재의 상투성에도 불구하고, 현대의 대중들도 충분히 공감할 수 있는 접점을 찾은 것은 전통사회와 현대를 불문한 ‘청렴한 관리’에 대한 대중들의 염원이 그 저변에 작용한 것으로 해석된다.

영문 초록

As typical Chinese officials of integrity, ‘Bao-Zheng(Song Dynasty)’, ‘Kuang-Zheng’ and ‘Hai-Rui’(Ming Dynasty) have been known to everybody for a long time as literary fictional characters cum historical ones as well as a source of creative material in diversified contemporary cultural contents. In this study, as a part of ultimate theme (Consideration on Narrative Transition of Officials of Integrity in Literature and Consideration of its Contemporary Accommodation for ‘San-Yan’-related historical characters), Bao-Zheng and Kuang-Zhong were considered based on common subject of ‘officials of integrity’. For this objective, by comparatively analyzing ‘San-Yan’ that was a study text of this writer in fictitious process of historical characters and observing correlation among several literatures depicting a process of Bao-Zheng and Kuang-Zhong being transformed as historical characters - their narrative transition in literature - could be explored. Beginning from the modern times, ‘official of integrity’-related cultural contents being reborn as a source of various mass media like film, drama in modern society has developed into another cultural phenomenon that may satisfy not only its historical value and literary reality but also amusement arousing contemporary popular curiosity. In particular, it is considered that this cultural contents could fully arouse popular sympathy as popular desire for ‘official of integrity’ regardless of conventional society and modern times was seriously represented in its background in spite of stiffened figuration of ‘official of integrity’ defying recreation and transformation and stereotyped material involved in simple composition of vice vs virtue, upright vs corrupt.
