국문 초록

이 연구는 언어와 매체가 2015년 개정 국어과 교육과정에서 가지는 위상에 대해서 살핀다. 이를 바탕으로 ‘매체 언어’와 관련된 내용이 보다 통합적으로 조정되어야 함을 주장한다. 국어과의 궁극적인 목적은 문식성(literacy)의 강화에 있다. 텍스트를 이해하고 비판하여 자신의 목소리를 낼 수 있는 능력을 기르는 것은 문식성 교육의 최종적인 목표라 할 수 있다. 이러한 점에서 기존의 음성 언어, 문자 언어와 더불어 매체 언어 또한 문식성 교육의 기초적인 수단이라는 점에는 이의가 없다. 그러나 매체 언어에 대한 중요성이 갈수록 강조되고 있지만 이들에 내재된 규칙성이나 교육 내용, 수업 방안 등 많은 부분이 논의되어야 할 필요성을 가지고 있다. 매체 언어를 대하는 관련자의 입장 또한 교육 외적인 이유로 매체언어의 처리 문제에 영향을 미치고 있다. 매체 언어 교육의 목적이 문식성 확보에 있다는 전제 하에 본고는 매체 언어와 관련된 내용이 2015년 개정 국어과 교육과정에 어떻게 통합되어 있는지를 살핀다. 또한 매체 언어와 관련된 내용이 교육과정 속에서 어떻게 전개되고 있는지를 살펴서 매체 언어가 다른 내용과 충분히 통합적으로 다루어질 수 있다고 주장할 것이다.

영문 초록

The study examines the status of Language and Media in the revised Korean language curriculum in 2015. Based on this, they argue that content related to media language needs to be more integrated. The ultimate goal of the Korean language curriculum is to strengthen the literacy. Developing the ability to understand and criticize text and to voice oneself is the ultimate goal of a literacy education. In this regard, there is no question that the media language, along with the existing voice language and text language, is also a fundamental means of literacy education. However, while the importance of the media language is increasingly emphasized, much of the rules, educational content and teaching methods inherent in them need to be discussed. The related person s position on media language is also affecting the processing of media language for reasons other than education. On the premise that the purpose of media language education is to secure a literacy, it looks at how contents related to media language are integrated into the Korean language curriculum as revised in 2015. We will also look at how media language-related content is being developed in the curriculum and argue that the media language can be adequately integrated with other contents.
