국문 초록

본 연구는 디트리히 본회퍼(Dietrich Bonhoeffer)의 평화 이해에 관한 담론이다. 그의 평화 이해는 ‘평화로 존재하는 그리스도’로 규정할수 있다. 본회퍼의 그리스도 이해는 그의 박사학위 논문인 󰡔성도의 교제󰡕 (1927년: Sanctorum Communio)의 교회 이해와 󰡔행위와 존재󰡕(1930년 : Act and Being)의 계시 이해와 더불어 시작되었는데 1930년에서 1934 년 사이의 본회퍼의 여러 강연들을 통해서 평화 담론으로 확장된다. 본회퍼의 그리스도 이해에 근거한 평화 개념은 1934년 8월 28일 덴마크 파뇌(Fano)에서 개최된 교회회의에서 구체화 된다. 본회퍼에게 평화는 어떠한 원칙적인 이념이나 원리가 아니었다. 그에게 평화는 ‘하나 님의 계명’(God’s commandment)이었다. 본회퍼의 평화 개념은 인간의 행위나 노력에서 행해지는 안보(Security)에 가능한 것이 아니라, 오직 예수 그리스도의 현존을 통해 가능하다고 보았다. 본회퍼의 󰡔나를 따르라󰡕(Discipleship)는 평화교육을 위한 교재로 볼 수 있으며, 이 책의 평화에 관한 실천적 담론은 ‘‘고난’, ‘용서’, ‘포기’를 통한 순종’에 관한 것이 었다. 본회퍼의 󰡔윤리학󰡕(Ethics)에서는 ‘형성으로서의 윤리’(Ethik als Formation), ‘선’(Good), ‘책임’(responsibility) 개념이 평화에 관한 실천적 담론으로 다뤄지고 있다고 볼 수 있다. 본회퍼는 평화를 예수 그리스도 안에서, 예수 그리스도를 통해서 이땅위에 실현되는 하나님의 평화로 이해했다. 21세기 현 시점의 한반도는 평화를 위한 성급한 안보장치의 대안 마련을 이유로 평화 그 자체이신 예수 그리스도를 잠시라도 망각해서는 안 된다. 오직 예수 그리스도가 우리의 평화이시다(에베소서 2장 14절). 통일의 시대를 갈망하는 남한과 북한 그리고 오늘, 여기에서 이 땅의 그리스도인과 교회는 평화로 실존하시는 예수 그리스도 안에서 ‘하나의 공동체’를 이루기 위해 끊임없이 힘써야 한다. 그것은 오직 예수 그리스도의 진정한 제자됨과 우리의 삶속에 예수 그리스도의 성육신, 십자가, 부활의 형성의 각인되기 그리고삶 전체를 하나님의 섭리에 온전히 내어드린 채 책임의 자유 안에서 행동 하며, 타자의 고통과 고난으로의 예수 그리스도의 초대에 끊임없이 참여 하고 나아가 그 고통과 고난을 함께 나눔을 통해 가능하다고 본회퍼는 오늘, 우리에게 말하고 있다. 본회퍼의 평화 이해는 상대방을 원수라고 규정하고 있는 요소들의 제거를 통한 ‘사랑공동체’의 설립, 그 어떤 무엇이 평화가 아니라 바로 예수 그리스도가 평화라는 의미의 ‘평화공동체’의 설립, 예수 그리스도 안에서 타자를 위한 교회되는 ‘교회공동체’의 설립이라는 한반도의 평화 통일을 향한 구체적인 과제들을 제시한다.

영문 초록

This study addresses the discourse of Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s understanding of peace. His understanding of peace is defined as “Christ existing as Peace.” His understanding of Christ began with his understanding of Church in his doctoral dissertation Sanctorum Communio(1927), and his understanding of Revelation in his Act and Being(1930), and then expanded to his peace discourse through his many lectures between 1930 and 1934. His concept of peace, based on his understanding of Christ, was specified at the church congress held in Fano, Denmark on August 28, 1934. Peace was not a fundamental ideology or principle, but “God’s commandment” to him. He believed that peace would only be possible through the existence of Jesus Christ rather than security achieved in human acts or effort. His Discipleship is teaching material for peace education. Its practical discourse about peace is about “obedience through hardship, forgiveness, and abandonment.” In his Ethics, he deals with “ethics as formation”, “good”, and “responsibility” concepts as the practical discourse about peace. He understood peace as, peace of God realized on Earth within and through Jesus Christ. In the 21st century, people on the Korean Peninsula must not forget that Jesus Christ is peace itself on the pretext of preparing abrupt security devices for peace. Only Jesus Christ is our peace (Ephesians 2:14). Today the Christians and Church in North and South Korea, which have a desire for the era of unification, should make a constant effort to form a “single community” within Jesus Christ that exists as peace. Bonhoeffer tells us today that it will be possible only by embracing the true discipleship of Jesus Christ, inscribing his incarnation, cross, and resurrection in our lives, acting within the freedom of responsibility after devoting our entire lives to the Providence of God, and taking an ongoing part in the invitation of Jesus Christ to the suffering and hardship of others and further sharing their suffering and hardship together. Bonhoeffer’s understanding of peace proposes specific tasks for the peaceful unification of the Korean Peninsula including forming a “community of love” by eliminating the elements of defining the other party as an enemy, a “community of peace” in the sense that Jesus Christ himself is peace, and a “community of church” that is a church for others within Jesus Christ.
