국내 사육견의 장내 기생충 감염실태

국문 초록

국내 사육중인 개를 대상으로 기생충감염 실태를 설탕액 부유법으로 조사한 결과 개는 1,260두 중 441두가 기생충에 감염되어 35.0%의 감염율을 나타냈으며 실내에 사육하는 애완견의 경우는 533두 중 39두가 기생충에 감염되어 7.3%의 감염율을 나타낸 반면 실외에서 사육하는 사냥견, 식용견, 기타견 등은 727두중 402두가 기생충에 감염되어 55.3%의 높은 감염율을 나타냈고, 그중 사냥견, 식용견, 기타 실외견의 감염율은 각각 66.%, 59.9%, 42.1%로 나타났다. 개 기생충 종류별 감염율은 Ancylostoma canium 14.1%로 가장 높았고, Toxascaris leonina 13.2%, Trichuris vulpis 12.8%, Toxocara canis 6.8% 등으로 나타났으며 총 8종의 기생충 감염과 33가지 유형의 감염을 나타냈다. 개 기생충의 단독감염과 혼합감염의 비교에서는 단독감염이 63.7%, 2종 혼합감염이 28.3%, 3종 혼합감염이 6.3%, 4종 혼합감염이 1.6%로 나타나 대부분이 단독감염과 2종 혼합감염이었다. 동물병원의 설문조사에 따르면 자견에서는 주로 백신 접종시 구충을 실시하였고 성견에서는 대부분 1년에 2번씩 구충하였다. 자주 쓰는 구충제는 자견에서는 피페라진과 이보멕이었으나 성견에서는 피페라진을 주로 사용하였다.

영문 초록

A survey on the prevalence of internal parasites in dogs was carried out according to the rearing pattern, age, single or mixed parasites infection. Fecal samples (1,260) collected from the dogs originated from 6 areas in Korea were examined by microscopy. The results obtained from this study were summarized as follows; 1. 441 dogs out of 1,260 dogs were infected with internal parasites and its rate were 35.0%. 2. According to the rearing pattern, prevalences of gastrointestinal parasitism were 7.3%(39/533) from indoor dogs, 55.3%(402/727) in outdoor dogs, 66.7% in hunting dogs and 59.9% in meat dogs. 3. The 8 species of eggs and oocysts were found from the feces of dog. the 14.1% of total dogs were infected with Ancylostoma caninum, 13.2% with Toxascaris leonina, 12.8% with Trichuris vulpis and 6.8% with Toxocara canis. 4. The infection rates of internal parasites were shown as 63.7% in single species, 28.3% in 2 species, 6.3% in 3 species and 1.6% in 4 species mixed infection. 5. According to the questionnaires from 20 animal hospitals, deworming was usually conducted at each vaccination time in puppies and twice a year in adult dogs. Anthemintics clinicians used in hospital were piperazines and avermectins in puppies and piperazines in adult dogs.
