To cope with inundation of information and rapid social changes of theses days, creative is one of the most important educational directions for the student who will be leaders of future society. So in the study, the level of student’s interest in practicum textbook was looked into, interest provoking materials were developed and applied to see its effect on the development of students’ creativity, considering that practicum, especially, is a subject that needs lots of creativity for easy and interesting access. To this end, first, interest provoking materials applicable to practicum were developed. Second, teaching guide was developed with the application of creative practicum answering instruction model and applied for the class. Third, the effect of interest provoking materials on the development of students’ creativity was examined. To investigate elements of creativity, prerequisite research and literary study on the concept of creativity, sub-elements of creativity, the concept of interest, the principle of interest provoking, its connection with students’ learning and connection between creativity and interest were carried out, and prerequisite test was carried out with creativity testing paper to see present elements of creativity of students. To see effect of the application of the interest provoking materials on the development of students’ creativity, first any similarity between the sample group and controlled group was identified before the experimentation started, but the result showed no significant difference between the two groups. After the experimentation, however, it showed statistically significant difference between the controlled traditional class and the sample class with the application of interest provoking materials. Looking into sub-elements of creativity revealed significant difference between the two groups in terms of fluency, negotiability, and originality. In consequence, the creativity of sample group showed better improvement than that of traditional class. In conclusion, the application of interest provoking material had big effect on the development of students’ creativity, so that the application of interest provoking materials on a practical course can help develop students’ creativity.
