노인장기요양시설의 서비스 이용자와 제공자의 존엄케어 경험에 관한 질적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 노인장기요양시설의 존엄케어 활성화방안을 위한 서비스 이용자와 제공자의 존엄케어 경험에 관한 질적 연구로서 현대의 우리 사회의 노인장기요양시설의 사실화된 현주소를 밝히고, 왜곡된 케어방식을 분석하는 동시에 노인에게 존엄한 삶과 죽음으로 준비 할 수 있는 구체적 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2016년 03월 연구계획 수립부터 2017년 11월까지 총 21개월간 진행되었다. 전체의 과정을 크게 둘러보면 계획, 실행, 결과의 단계로 구분하여 각 단계별 유기적으로 연결되도록 하였다. 본 연구는 본질에 맞게 비존엄케어와 존엄케어의 비교체험을 한 연구 참여자를 선정하기 위하여 제공 및 이용경험의 2년 이상 이란 경험치를 설정해 두고 이에 따라 현 서울에 있는 노인장기요양시설 중 존엄케어 서비스 방식을 도임 및 제공한 연구 참여자를 최종 선정하였다. 우리 모두가 직업에 대한 자긍심을 가지고 자랑 할 수 있는 전문가 인 것이다. 이에 노인의 존엄을 유지하기 위한 종사자들의 케어 조건을 제시해 둔다. 첫째, 시설 종사자의 노인학대예방교육 강화이다. 둘째, 노인장기요양시설 취업 시 인성교육 의무화이다. 셋째, 노인장기요양시설 전 직업군에 치매전문교육을 법정의무화이다. 넷째, 노인의 와상으로의 진행을 늦추는 재활프로그램 제공이다. 본 논문은 현대의 우리 사회의 노인장기요양시설의 현주소를 밝히고, 왜곡된 케어방식을 분석하는 동시에 노인에게 존엄한 삶과 죽음으로 준비할 수 있는 구체적 방안을 모색하고자 했다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to unveil the actualized present condition of the elderly care service facility of our society today through a qualitative study of long-term care service for the elderly service providers and users’ dignity care experience for the activation plan of dignity care in long-term care service facility, thereby analyzing the distorted care methods, as well as seeking specific measures to prepare the elderly with life and death in dignity. For this, the study was carried out for 16 months beginning with research plan establishment in June 2016, ending in October 2017. All procedures were divided into planning, execution, and result, making each step to organically link to one another. In order to follow the nature of the study, an experience parameter of 2 or more years of provision or usage was set to select study participants who have had a comparative experience in non-dignity care and dignity care, thereby listing out the final selection of study participants who introduced and provided the dignity care service method in the long-term care service facility located in Seoul. We all are specialists able to pride in our job. Hence, suggested are the care conditions of the staff to maintain the dignity of the elderly. First, the elder abuse prevention education consolidation of the facility staff. Second, the obligation of personality education when employed in the elderly care facility. Third, the legal obligation of specialized education of Alzheimer’s disease in all occupational clusters in the elderly care facility. Fourth, a provision of a rehabilitation program that helps delay the process of the elderly being confined to bed. I hope that the elderly care facilities in Korea will bring about a great driving force even as to transform the culture of death through dignity care, so that the elderly may finish their lives beautifully, keeping the dignity as human being.
