환경의 차이에 따른 심상 연상의 창의성 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 이미지 연상 테스트를 활용해 한국과 네팔의 10세에서 14세 어린이를 대상으로 이미지 연상 과정을 비교하는 비교 실험 연구이다. 이 연구는 문화적, 환경적 영향이 이미지 연상 과정에 어떤 차이를 낳는가의 문제를 답하기 위해 질적, 양적 방법을 모두 사용하여, 아동이 성장하는 단계에서 환경이 심상을 형성하는 과정을 탐색하였다. 이 질문은 궁극적으로 ‘심상은 어떻게 생성되는가?’의 문제에 대답함으로써 환경에 따른 심상의 창의적 차이에 대해 질적으로 해석하고자 하는 의도를 지닌다. 이 연구는 한국의 10~13세 아동 32명과 네팔의 10~14세 어린이 90명을 대상으로 한 실험 결과를 분석했다. 연상 실험은 미술 수업 과정에서 토란스의 TTCT를 변형하여 16개의 도형들 – 선, 형상, 문자, 숫자 등의 나머지를 연상하여 그리도록 했다. 이들 실험을 통해 각각 약 519, 464개의 연상 이미지를 얻었으며, 연구자는 비교 분석을 시도하여 환경이 어떻게 심상의 사고 과정과 창의성에 영향을 주는지 차이를 분석하고자 했다.

영문 초록

This study is a comparative research on imagery association process of children from 10 to 14 years of age between in Korea and Nepal applying the imagery association test. This study explores answers to the questions, both in quality and quantity, of: how the environmental effects on children growing up relate to generating an imagery process in the mind based on the question of ‘How can images be generated?’ This study was conducted on 32 children aged 10 to 13 for the period of 4-14 Jan., 2016 in Korea, and 90 children aged 10 to 14 for the period of 16-22 Aug., 2016 in Nepal. I conducted ‘Imagery Association Test’ applied on TTCT(Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking, presented by Torrance in 1959) that extensively has been used to assess the ability of creative thinking. I used the test to warm up for extending ideas on educational programs of art lecture. The test was made up of 16 images that drawn parts of line, shape, character and number. Children were asked to completely draw the rest associated form from the following part. It was deduced totally each 519, 464 images as results. I observed much differences on the comparative results, also I recognized that the environment has an influence on the way of seeing and thinking about the world, which makes the way of imagery thinking process different in the mind. In conclusion, this study proposes that person in charge of education should be required a variety and a meticulous observation to students who have the creative aspect of imagery association and the opposite fixated limit.
