국문 초록

본 연구는 한국과 일본의 학교급별 미술 교과서에 제시된 미술 용어에 대한 비교 조사 연구이다. 미술 용어는 학교급별 내용 체계의 수준을 구별하는 척도가 되어줄 뿐만 아니라, 해당 학교급별로 어떤 내용에 중점을 두고 미술교과교육이 이루어지는 지를 알 수 있는 기준이 되어준다. 본 연구를 위하여 한국의 경우 초등 3-6의 4개 학년, 중학교 1-3의 3개 학년, 고등학교 1의 1개 학년 미술 교과서를 대상으로 하였으며, 일본의 경우 초등학교 1-6의 6개 학년, 중학교 1-3의 3개 학년, 고등학교 1-3의 3개 학년의 교과서를 분석 대상으로 하였다. 두 국가의 학교급별 미술 용어의 비교를 위한 조사의 틀은 ‘조형 요소와 원리’에 기초하여, ‘미술 분야별 명칭’, ‘감상 및 미술사 용어’, ‘직업’ 관련 용어 등의 기본 구분에 기초하였다. 차기 교육과정의 개정을 앞두고 각 교과교육의 목표 및 내용 체계에 관한 연구가 활발하게 이루어지고 있는 이 때, 한국과 일본의 교과서 미술 용어의 비교 조사는 미술과 교육 내용을 체계화하는 데도움을 줄 것이다. 또한 새로운 교육과정을 제정하고 이에 따라 미술 교과서를 개발 하기 위한 기초 자료로 사용될 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze the art terminologies in art textbooks for primary, junior, and high school level in Korea and Japan, in order to set up the basis for the systematic organization of the content structure of the art terminologies for the development of the next Korean National Art Curriculum. For this study, Korean and Japanese National Art Curriculums, the textbook system of each country, and the art terminologies in art textbooks which are being used in primary, junior, and high schools in Korea and Japan, were collected and analyzed. The total number of Korean and Japanese art textbooks are 32(4 for primary, 21 for middle, and 7 for high school) and 12(6 for primary, 3 for middle, and 3 for high school) respectively. The art terminologies in this study were classified as follows: 1) the art terminologies in design elements(dot, line, shape/form, texture, space, volume, color, etc.) and design principles(balance, harmony, rhythm, proportion, composition, contrast, unity, etc.), 2) art terminologies in each specialties in art fields, 3) art terminologies in art appreciation and art history area, and the last, 4) art terminologies in (the name of) jobs in art. The findings of this study are as follows: 1) the art contents in the next Korean National Art Curriculum and art textbooks for each school level should be developed and presented in accordance with appropriate art terminologies which were proved for the school level. 2) Studies on school art terminologies should be proceeded and encouraged for its development. And the last, 3) various ways to present its strategies and content meaning in art textbooks should be considered prior to organizing content structure of art textbooks.
