초등학생의 부모-자녀 의사소통, 교사-학생 의사소통과 학업성취의 관계: 자기결정성 학습동기의 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 부모-자녀 의사소통, 교사-학생 의사소통이 초등학교 고학년 학생의 자기결정성 학습동기 및 학업성취와 어떠한 관계에 있는가를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 울산광역시 소재 7개 초등학교 6학년 학생 520명(남 264명, 여 256명)을 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 독립표본 t검정, 상관분석, 매개효과검증을 실시하여 그 결과를 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 교사-학생 의사소통과 부모-자녀 의사소통에 있어 여학생의 평균이 남학생보다 높게 나타났으며 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 부모-자녀 의사소통과 학업성취의 관계에서 자기결정성 학습동기의 매개효과를 검증한 결과 부모-자녀 의사소통과 자기결정성 학습동기, 자기결정성 학습동기와 학업성취는 유의한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 부모-자녀 의사소통과 학업성취는 직접적으로 유의한 관계는 아니었다. 반면 부모-자녀 의사소통과 학업성취의 관계에서 자기결정성 학습동기가 완전매개 함을 확인하였다. 셋째, 교사-학생 의사소통과 자기결정성 학습동기, 자기결정성 학습동기와 학업성취는 유의한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 교사-학생 의사소통과 학업성취도 유의한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 교사-학생 의사소통과 학업성취의 관계에서 자기결정성 학습동기가 부분매개 함을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통해 부모와 자녀, 교사와 학생간의 의사소통이 학생의 교육적 성취와 자기결정성 학습동기에 영향을 미치는 중요한 변인임을 실증적으로 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 연구결과는 향후 부모, 교사의 효율적인 의사소통 방안 모색을 위한 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study is to check the intermediate effect of self-determination motivation to learn in the relationship between academic achievement and parents, teacher communication perceived by elementary school student. For this study, 6th grader 520students(male 264, female 256) of 7 elementary schools in a Ulsan city were surveyed. The result of this study is as follows. In the analysis of difference of the main variables by sex, there was a significant difference in parents-child, teacher-student communication and female was higher than male student in average. Second, as a result of verification of the intermediate effect of self-determination motivation to learn in the relationship between parents communication and academic achievement. It proved that there was significant positive corelation between parents communication and self-determination motivation to learn, between self-determination motivation to learn and academic achievement. Third, there was positive and significant corelation between teacher communication and self-determination motivation to learn, between academic achievement and self-determination motivation to learn. And there was significant positive corelation between teacher communication and academic achievement. Such result could provide the basis of further academic and practical discussion for developing parents and teacher communication skill.
