국문 초록

이글은 북한에서 출간된 설화자료집 조선민 화집을 대상으로 거기에 수록된 작품을 통해 북한의 설화 자료 수록 양상과 밝히고 통일시대를 대비한 설화자료의 통합방안을 모색해보고자 한다. 북한은 구전문학, 특히 설화자료에 대한 많은 자료집을 발간하였는데, 설화에 대한 지대한 관심을 가지고 있음을 알 수 있다. 이는 남북이 함께 공유하는 공통의 유산이라는 점에서 의미가 있다. 그러나 남과 북은 그동안 각자의 방식으로 설화를 생산하고 그 연구를 진행시켜왔기에, 쉽사리 접점을 찾기 어려운 상황이 되었다. 이러한 점은 북한의 설화자료집인 조선민화집을 통해 잘 드러난다. 이에 본 연구는 북한의 설화자 료집 조선민화집에 나타난 장르 체계의 설정 문제, 개작의 문제, 번안 동화와 창작 동화의 수용문제에 대해 다루었다. 남북이 설화자료를 다루는 차이는 남북이 공동으로 설화 연구를 하거나 설화자료집을 편찬 한다고 할 때 층돌하거나 쟁점이 될 수 있는 지점이다. 그러나 이러한 차이는 어느 한 쪽의 왜곡이나 잘못이 아니다. 오히려 이런 차이는 보는 관점에 따라 앞으로의 설화자료의 발전적 통합 방법을 마련하는데 중요한 시사점을 제공해준다. 설화 장르 체계에 다른 구성과 개작 설화의 허용 문제, 그리고 번안동화와 창작동화를 포함 하는 특성은 설화의 장르론 및 문학적 정체성을 규정하는 중요한 사안이기에, 수록된 자료들을 통해서 북한의 입장을 면밀히 고찰해 볼 필요가 있는 것이다. 이를 바탕으로 여기서는 크게 3가지 측면에서 통합 가능성에 대해 이야기하였다. 우리 현실에 맞는 독자적이고 체계적인 설화 장르체계의 구축, 개작에 대한 객관적의 이해의 필요, 현대 구전설화의 체계성 마련이 그것이다. 한민족의 정신과 문화가 함축된 구비문학이야 말로 남과 북의 소통 경로로 중요한 역할을 담당할 수 있다. 또한 설화의 경우 아동문학으로 활용되는 빈도수가 높은 것이 남과 북의 공통된 특성이므로, 통일시대를 이끌어 갈 미래세대를 염두에 두더라도 설화자료에 대한 통합방안은 중요한 과제라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 점에서 설화 자료의 통합방안 연구는 구비문학사 통합의 토대로서 중요한 의의를 지닌다.

영문 초록

Targeting The Collection of Chosun Folk Tales, the collection of folktale materials published in North Korea, this paper is to reveal the aspect of folktale materials of North Korea through the works contained and search measures to integrate folktale materials in preparation for the unification era. The difference between South and North Korea in dealing with folktale materials may come into conflict or be at issue when South and North Korea jointly study folk tales or compile folktale materials. However, such a difference is not the distortion or fault of either one of them. Rather, this difference provides important implications in preparing a progressive integrated way of folktale materials in the future depending on the perspective. Here, we talked about the integration possibility in three aspects: Establishment of independent and systematic folk tale genre system suitable for our reality, need for an objective understanding of adaptation, preparation for systemicity of modern oral tales. Oral literature containing the spirit and culture of the Korean people can play a major role as a communication path of South and North. Also, tales are used as children s literature very frequently both in South and North and thus, measures to integrate folktale materials can be said to be an important task when keeping future generations to lead the unification era in mind. In this regard, a study on measures to integrate folktale materials has the important meaning as the foundation of integration of the oral literature history.
